In the, short span of time
encompaksing the past week or
slightly more Goderich and area
has been plagued •by a rash of
fires that' have caused many
thousands 'of, dollars damage.
the Goderich Fire Department
has been among -the busiest of
municipal departments recently
despite the desire of everyone
concerned to see that they have
to do as little as possible.
The luck seemed to turn bad
on -Monday, November 15 when

building at Sky 'Harbour which
housed Huron Railing Company,
causing damage that is estimated
will run between $25,000 and

,the hectic week for Goderich
firemen"wound up at about 1:30
a.m. Thursday as the firefighters
'were roused from bed and made
a mad dash out to Goderich

The building, located at Lot

located near any other buildings
and by the time it was seen, an

of flames and smoke. Firemen
could do nothing to save it and
wee forced to wait it out and
prevent it from spreading.
This fire is still under
