Theregular monthly meeting
of St; Peter's ' Parish Board of
Advisors was held on' Monday
evening, October 18, with
Father R. Moynahan opening
the meeting with a short prayer.
The minutes of the last
regular meeting' were read and
accept,d. The chairman noted
that the Diocesan meeting which
was to have been held in London
on October 16 was postponed
until November 13.
-Jan Murphy has agreed to act
as Chairman of the Fund Raising
Campaign for, the parish which is
`to be set up shortly.
Various committee reports
were read, and Mrs. Murphy
reported that we have a "new
organist in the .person of Miss
Ann Legg.
,M iss Eileen O'Brien reported
that her committee would be
meeting, on Oct. 21 to finalize
details for the social part of the
Parish Council meeting which is
to be held on October 28.
Pat Osborne, chairman .of the
Christian Action Committee,
said he is considering organizing
a married couples,club if :the
1feople are interested,.' He also
hopes to interest some of- the
Cubs in woodworking and will
setup a room in the old convent
basement for this purpose. Hea
stated that the Cub pack' is in
need of leaders.
A tentative agenda was drawn
up for the Parish Council
meeting on Oct. 28. It was
suggested that lists of the various
Committees be provided so that
parishioners wishing to serve on
the different committees might::,:
indicate their intention.
The next meeting of the
Board;. sof Advisors will be held
on Monday, November 29 at
8:00 p.m.
The general meeting of St.
Peter's Parish Council will be
held in the Parish Hall on
Thursday evening, October 28 at
8:00 p,m. Coffee and pie will be
served _iyfter the meeting.

Margaret Wilson of'Montteeal and
Mrs. Elizabeth Ebbernn of
Winnipeg; and 16 grandchildren,'
After cremation, a_memorial
service was held in Winnipeg
with Rev. W. C. Cross
officiating. Honorary pallbearers
were W. C. G. Runions, Ewart,
Morgan, Cliff Williams, Art
Alder}, Dwight Ridd, Jack Aker
and Dr. D, F. McIntyre.
Mr. 'Guest was born in
Wingham, on October 9, 1886
and was raised in Goderich. He
•-went to Winnipeg in 1903 where
he spent his life in the shoe
business. He. founded the Guest
Shoe Company and retired only
recently.
He joined Young Church in
1906 and took an active part' in
they many phases of its business.
He was Past -Master of Northern
Light Masonic Lodge and also a
Past -Officer in .the Scottish Rite
of Free Masonry.
Mr. Guest was also a
past -president of the Strathcona
Curling Club and'the Assiniboine-
Lawn Bowling Club.
