The Goderich Recreation Committee sponsored Women's Craft activities got underway last
Thursday morning at the Goderich Town Hall with about 10 ladies taking opportunity of the
opening class. Under the direction of Susan Bell, standing; tie ladies are learning the finer points

Abandoned puppies have

homes; investigation on
Goderich animal control
officer Richard Eisler informed
the Signal Star this week that -
homes have been located for the
two pups found reevently starving
to death a`t Feagans' pit where
they had apparently been
deliberately deserted:
- "I received better than two
dozen phone .calls offering• to
take one of the pups and 1 am
happy to report that they have
both Sound good homes," he
said.
Mr. Eisler also reported that
the picture pyblished in the
Signal Star in its issue of
October .7 helped to l cate the
original owners. of thy; pups and
thatan investigation is being
- further conducted into the

matter.
• The pups were found in the
pit°by youngsters playing in the
area and • turned over to the
animal control officer. Mr. Eisler
indicated that this sort of
cruelty occurs far to often and

On October 9 the Dungannon
Dairy Dippers held their fifth
meeting at Mrs. Ivan Rivett's
home.
The discussion at this meeting
was planning around the main
course, white sauce, , all about
cheese and cream in the main
course.
The dishes demonstrated and
eaten at this meeting' ' were
Chicken a la King and Lemon
Cake Top PUddIng.
For , group work the club
listed foods containing dairy
products and.. wrote up a
non-dairy menu and discussed
how to improve it. r
