Truemner scored on a three yard run. The Vikings two points came on,a safety'touch which Exeter conceded in' the' third, quartet.. In other sports activity, 'the senior soccer team piled up their. fifth straight victory without- loss, ithout a. loss, defeating Stratford North \ Western 6-2i. The Goderich team was led by Stu "the basher" Asher with three goals ,and Harold R'efflinghaus - with two. Dave • Graf scored -the other goal. Bob - Schmidt and Rolf Gottschalk; played well defensively. Paul Howe's team played - their final , two regular season games ' this week against Mitchell and here today (Thursday) against Stratford Central. The playoffs start next,week. In girls basketball, ' the Goderich gals lost a 'doubleheader to Wingham, 22-19 iri the junior game and 32-30 in the senior, but in both cases, the teams played well. The juniors record is now two ins and two losses while th w e seniors are one win and three losses. ` For ' the seniors, Goderich scores were led by • Carole Cruichshank with 10 points, while,. Mary Wilken had eight, Tanya Palrner- and- Sue --Smalley, four�eachf.and D1ara-Bedarclatwo .. points, Mickey Cruickshank led the G.D.C,I. jilniors with • seyen points, followed by Brenda Brissette with five, Becky Crawford with four, Sally Stringer with two, and Marg 'Taylor with one point. This week, the girls play in Exeter against South Huron. Council members are, left.to right, (front) Brian Yeoman,,Mark Jones, Earl' Salter (secretary); -Tim Evans, Students' Christian Farmers Fed. halls .meetings. at Clinton T'ite Christian Farmers Federation, who last week released a statement of their policies as they dealt. with .vertical integration, -this week announced that local meetings are held at Clinton and stressed that all farmers from throughout the region are more than welcome to attend. The date of the next meeting is to be announced shortly. • A spokesman for the group pointed put this week that many feel that to become a member of the Federation a farmer must be a member 'of certain churches or religious groups. Such is ,not—the case the spokesman said," a"nd all farmers -are invited to cone out ...and join, thus, strengthening the group.
