ound and About
With Martha
We have surely had a busy
time• this last few days - not
always "busy" as 1 would have
liked to be', but "busy'-' just
sitting waiting or riding the bus.
We' sat tor a couple of hours in
-Ixuts.1.s-.Finglish--airport - what
-
a mob! There were three full
busloads of our tour alone,
besides a few hundred other
people waiting fora plane.
Finally we're off to Madrid,
Spain, in a turbo -prop - not as
nice as the Atlantic trip -
noisier, etc. -- but not bad. We
did not fly so high this time and
soon saw lights of towns below.
Very beautiful and - well,
unexpected..
There was, a fust! moon and '
lovely weather - and I hear
you've been having WARM
weather too.
Madrid surprised us too -- the
,cars were back on the right side
and there were large as well as'
small cars on the highways and
streets -- • more like home.
One thing that impressed me
-•- there were hundreds of taxis
- but 'they "were all alike. No -
mistaking them.
' Stayed at a nice hotel, •then
next morning toured Madrid.
Enjoyed.the stop ,at their famous -

And it was GOOD! So was the
coffee served in tiny cups and
saucers made ot', their red earth.
They had jugs and dishes --
hand' made - from years back.
Actually centuries back was
there when you looked at some
of the leather headgear, etc,,
which had been worn by their
horses. A very , modern touch
was a tall skinny "Don" made of
