that's a day -long outing with a

2nd, out at. Camp KIahane. (If it
rains, weirtry 'again on October

taking part in all the thing'

Athlete badges as well as songs
and justrfor-fun games.
Although it will be sent to
each home with the Brownies
themselves here is a, little
additional information for you
regarding our .Revel.

on the weather. Everyone
attending for the day will need
to bring their.own luch and two
zip -tip cans of pop. A sit -upon
will be- handy at times too -it's
a newspaper sealed in a
medium sized plastic bag.
It would be extremely helpful
'if folks at •home would help
some of the Brownies, especially
the younger ones, work on
throwing and catching a ball.
This is usually :le event that
causes the most_difficulty and
some times disappointments.
Here is the complete list of

Sprint 100 yards in 25
seconds; Jump 2 feet (high

Monday (Mrs!' K. B.) Margaret
Keefe, •-ehairman Of the
membership committee of the
London branch of the Women's
Canadian Club, issued a special
invitation to- ladies from
,Goderich and 'area t� become
Members.

"TheWomen's Canadian Cltib
of 'London issues a 'very cordial
invitation to the ladies of
Goderich and district," she said,
"to participate in its 1971:72
program."
The London club is unique,
Mrs. Keefe explained, in that it
has a large number of members
who come from various smaller
centres 'within convenient
driving distance. These ladies are
valued members and give .the
club a very special character and
new members would be most
welcome.
Meetings are held in
Centennial Hall and the program
for the coming season features a
number of -special speakers. On
September 29 at 2:00 p.m. Dr.
Bette Stevenson will discuss the
"Doctors Dilema in the
Seventies.", On October 21
Adrienne Clarkson Vvill speakat,
2:00 p.m. on "Women - 'The
Challenge." At 8:00 p.m. on
,November 9 the club will host
Caotain Pullen who will speak to
the group on the "Manhattan's

Womens Instittfte on Wednesday
afternoon „., at , the "Septernber
birthday party. One hundred
and fifty residents and some
guests gathered in --the
auditorium for the party and
enjoyedthe program which wag
convened by Mrs. Reauburn.
The program consisted of a
reading by Mrs. Clarence Hunter
and several aceordian numbers
by Hilly Klouse. Following the
program, gifts were presented to
those celebrating birthdays and
lunch was served by' the ladies.
Leo Moerbeck of Huronview
thanked the group on behalf of
the residents. Sharon (''rt"r and
• Betty Lockhart, volunteers from
the Beta Sigma Phi sorority,
assisted Vgithlbe-wheeichairs.
Mr. Jack McLaren of
Benmiller accompanied an the
piano by Mr. Eck 'Stiles of
Goderich provided' a very
enjoyable hour Of entertainment
at the Thursday Family Night
program, Mr. McLaren one of
the original Members of the
famous show "The Dumbells"
sang several of the, songs that
were sung by the group which
had, its beginning following the
first world war. He also showed.

from old snaps of the members
as well as slides on the history of
Benmiller. Mrs. Mary Johnston
expressed the appreciation of
the resAdents. It is encouraging
to have visitors attend the
program with . a Huronview
relative or friend.
