Bonita Marie -Armstrong, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie•
J.
Armstrong, RR 3, Bayfield, and Lawrence Gordon. Bieber, son
of Mr. and -Mrs. Gordon Bieber, Exeter, . were married in
' Goshen United Church September 4. The double -ring
ceremony was `conducted by Rev. John Huether assisted by
Murdock Morrison.
Given in marriage by her • father, the bride wore a silk
organza" gown embroidered with Swiss guipure lace entwined /
with lilac ribbon. The gown featured a Victorian neckline and
full ,wrist -length Juliet sleeves, The A-line skirt formed a
chapel -length train from - the back waist. A cluster of flowers
held her "fin -genii) veil, and she carried a white prayer 'book
'accented with yellow sweetheart roses and stephanotis.
• Matron of honor was Mrs. Linda Talbot, sister of the bride,
Goderich. Bridesrhaids were Mrs. Elaine Parsons, sister of the
groom, Exeter and Miss Jean Glen, Clinton. -
They were dressed 'alike in lilac coulotte gowns featuring
Victorian necklines -and daisies circling the long cuffed sleeves
and the Collar. The, carried crescent bouquets of yellow shasta
mums. .
Best man was John Talbot, brother-in-law of the bride,
Goderich. Ushers were Wayne Parsons, brother-in-law of the
groom, Exeter, and Fred Armstrong, cousin of the •lyride, RR
1, Varna. .
Organist was Mrs. Bruce Keys and the soloist, Peter Postill,
• 7 sang Wedding Prayer and This is'Our Day. -
Following the wedding; .dinner for the guests from Simcoe,
Ridgetown,'"Dui,das, Toronto, Kingston, Clinton, Blyth and
Exeter was served in the church basemeht. The bride's mother
wore a long-sleeved, peach -colored dress with a chiffon
over -dress, white accessories and ' lime green''cymbidium
orchid: Thegroom's mother selected a crimp polyester dress
with' a blue background printed with yellow and white, white
accessories and 'a corsage of sweetheart roses.
For a wedding trip, to Northern Ontario, the bride changed
to a purple crushed.velvet hot pants outfit with snatching vest,
�.w . navy accessories and a corsage of white roses.
The newlyweds are residing in Bayfield. 41,
Prior to her marriage, the bride 'was feted at showers given
bya Mrs. John Talbot in Goderich; Mrs. Elainie\ Parsons in
Exeter;.Goshen UCW;' and Mrs. Allen Armstrong, RR i, Varna.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Bieber entertained the wedding party
after the rehearsal.

Forward 'Baptist Church in Galt was the scene of the recent
wedding ,of Sharon Anne Howes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs: -
.Ernest William Howes of Galt, and_ouglasWilliam. Wra son

Rev. E. Kennedy officiated. Soloist Mrs. Thomas Reilly of
Scarborough sang Savior Like A Sheiiherd Lead Us,
accompanied by Mrs. Brude Raynard.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown
made by her mother, featuring empire waist of French cut
velvet with sheer sleeves; the dress was trimmed with satin. Her
floral headdress held a floor length, lace trimmed silk illusion
veil, and she carried a colonial nosegay of yellow roses, mauve
miniature carnations and white daisies.
Maid of honor was Miss Janice Raynard of Galt and
bridesmaids were Anne Wray of Goderich -and Jacqueline
McPherson of Galt. Flower jirl was Julia Boonstra of
Hamilton. '
The maid of honor and flower girl wore mauve sheer nylon
dresses. The bridesmaids were similar, but in yellow. The maid
of: Honor and flowergirl; carried colonial -nosegays, of white
daisies and mauve miniature carnations; other" attendants •
carried, 'yell -ow carnations. Headdresses were . daisy -flowers
combined with' lace rr on bows. ,
Best man was Greg Montgothery of Goderich arid ushers
were the'groom's brother Gordon Wray of Goderich.;and the
bride's brother PauL,Howes of Galt.
For a reception at the Matador in Galt, the bride's mother
wore a -white linen dress trimmed with pink, matching pink
coat and black accessories.
The groom's mother wore turquoise polyester crepe, a
figured chiffon coat and navy accessories.

The newlyweds will reside in Galt. Out of town guests came
from Berkley, Michigan; Royal Oak, Michigan; Guelph, '
Goderich, Toronto;, -Claremont, Hamilton and Kitchener.
Hostesses at showers where the bride was guest of horror
were: Miss Jacqueline MgPherson,,miscellaneous; Mrs. Clarence
McFarla - e,,. -miscellaneous; Miss Jahice, Raynard,-miscellaneous;
Mrs. 'Guy,„„DeCarp and high school classmates presented the
bride with a vacum"cleaner; Mrs: Sam Hood hosted a bathroom
shower; Mrs. Jack Pollock, pantry and' -kitchen shower, Mrs.
Fritz Betlke, miscellaneous; Mrs. Roy Howarth, kitchen
'shower. The brid'e's fellow employees:at'Galt-ry° Cleaning
Services presented her with a bedspread.

The marriage of Barbara Joy Keenan, Toronto, and W'i'lliam'
Lawrence Papernick, Toronto, was solemnized August 28 in
Trinity United Church, Thunder Bay.
Rev. R. A. Peden DD officiated at the ceremony performed
before, an altar banked with baskets of white and gold gladioli,
blue iris and baby's breath. Nuptial' magic was supplied by
Maurice Baker.
The bride is the daughter.of.Dr. and Mrs. Marvin E. Keenan,

Given in .marriage by her father, the bride ware a formal,
empire -styled gown of white frosted naislev brocade
-highlighted with drop pearls. The, gown featured seed, pearl
embroidery done by her.g.randmOther, Mrs. D., James, Thunder
Bay. The delicate embroidery emphasized the collar, bodice,
skirt front panel and cuffs. A cathedral train, widely -bordered
'with matching pearls, fell from the tailored neck bow and was
adorned with a 'row of tiny self -covered buttons extending the
length of the train. A, circlet headdress of pearl larocade held a
cathedral -length' veil of tulle. The bride carried a bouquet oۥ
White orchids accented with sea'fronds. -
The bridal attendants were Miss Susan Benson as .maid of
honor and Misses Joan Eatam and Claudia Keenan as
bridesmaids. °
They chose ,teal blue cut 'elvet' gowhs styled . with high
collars, long sleeves and fitted cuffs. The gathered skirts
featured waist -high slits displaying blue peau de sole hostess
pants. Teal blue peau de sole edged the skirts and fashioned
front -view; `•"waist bows. They carried 'bouquets of iris,
stephanotis and eucalypti .. with complementary iris and
stephanotis sprinkled in their hair. . •
The best man was Ronald McDonald, Goderich. Ushers
were Andrew James, Toronto, and Gordo„Keepan, Thunder
Bay.
At a reception held in the Nor-hor Motor_Hotel a toast to
the bride was given 'by Dr. 5.,N. Scbiewe. ,
The bride's mother received wearing a pale blue silk dress •
with front panel and cuffs of re -embroidered' white lace, white
accessories and a corsage of cream -colored roses. -
The groom's mother wore an ice blue chiffon jacket dress
with detail' an the skirt hem, matchingblue accessories and a
cream rose corsage.
For a honeymoon to the Eastern United States, the briBe
wore a navy and white print jacket dress with navy accissories.,.

Knox Presbyterian Church 'was' decorated with mauve
ribbons 'and baskets of mauve and white gladioli' for the
August wedding of Miss Beverley Ryan and John Kolkman. • '
Rev. G. Lockhart Royal officiated for -the ceremony which
united in marriage the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce.Ryan,
149 South St., Goderich, and the son of M`r. and Mrs. Tunis
Kolkman, RR 3 Goderich.
William Cameron provided the wedding music.
Jscorted to the altar by her. father, the bride wore a gown

lilypoirit`sleeves and lace inserts'on the front of the gown. The, •
fitted waistline fell into a full skirt which swept to a train from
a back 'bow. Her waistlength veil was held, by a crown of,
• ribbon, ,lace and pearls and she carried a cascade of red
,-sweetheart roses, white stephanotis and white starburst poms.
The maid of honor was Miss Mary Kolkman, sister• of the
groom. She wore a gown of mauveehif?on over affeta. The
. empire waistline was -trimmed with white -lace --a -the long,
loose chiffOn sleeves were gathered at the •wris 'with white
lace. Her headpiece was a mauve veil and ribbon sprinkled with
white stephanoitis. She carried •a cascade of mauve miniature
carnations, red sweethearbroses,and white starburst poms.
The bridesmaids, 'Mrs. Karen ,Ludwig, London, ,and Mrs.
Gail Doak, Goderich, were similarly attired.

Ringbearer was Ricky Ryan; ,brother -of the bide.
• The • groomsman was Bernie, Kolkman, brother of the
groom. Usher's were Eddie Jones and Leonard Kolkman, both °
of Goderich, and Ken Hartman, Galt. ,. : ' '
Baskets of mauve and .White gladioli and rose bowls of
mauve and white petunias decorated Saltford Valley Hall
where the wedding dinner was served. ,
The bridesmother wore a turquoise chiffon dress with
white accessories and' a corsage of red sweetheart roses. The
groom's mother selected a white fortrel dress with white
accessories and a corsage of red sweetheart roses. i
Fora wedding trip to Niagara Falls Tororfto Galt, London
and other points, the bride changed to apink lace dress with
silver accessories ands corsage of pink sweetheart roses.
' Mr. and Mrs. Kolkman are residing in Goderich.
• Prior to her marriage,'the bride was feted at showers given
by Mrs. Audrey Fisher, Mrs. Leone Ryan, Mrs. Mildred '
Hartman and Mrs. Gail Doak at the home of Mrs. Elgin Fisher.
Miss Mary .Kolkman was, also hostess for a miscellaneous
