Pete McCauley in his report for the temporal 'Comtitittee stated with regard to the natter of carpeting for' the church aisles, this is to be dropped fpr the present. Painting of the ceiling over the Blessed Sacrament alter should be completed next week. Mr. `.McCauley and, Stan Connolly made a maintenance inspection of the new -Convent building and presented a ,maintenance check list covering their findings. Father Moynahan reported the renovations and decorating of the Convent .had been. ccpJel,ed,.. and the four sisters are now in,d residence. • Mrs. Murphy read a report on the Spiritual Committee. Helmut Krohmer presented a letter which was , received from - Bishop Carter dated-, August I'th treaardine the Diocesan Council meeting in October. It- was decided that John Buchanan and Helmut Krohmer would attend as our . representatives on your own -selves" — 2 Corinthians 13:5. An unexamined faith is not worth having. Are my sins forgiven by an act of repentance towards God plus faith in --the atoning sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ? Am I a child of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ or not? , "While we are all sinners (redeemed or otherwise) we may congratulate ourselves that we are free from many things which niake other folk slaves. She was 52. A daughter of Larson and Anne (Chase) LaRue, she...was- born December 29, 1918, near Chatham. She served with the CWAC from 1942 to 1945 in- — Kingston, Kitchener,' Ottawa and ,. Chatb,t.xt -t JJ'AWL.. She was married May 26, 1945 in Chatham, to John Neil McKinnon, a sergeant in the CAF air. element. They lived at Niagara -on -the -Lake; Goderich; MacDonald, Manitoba; Bagotville, Quebec; Beaver Bank, N.S.; Ottawa; and Germany for the last three years. ,Mrs. McKinnon arrived in Trenton front,Germany by CAF 707 jet and in Codorich by Buffalo transport plane on Thursday of last week. She was a member of Eastb ook Unite4 Church, Ottawa, and a former member of Victoria Street ,United Church here.
