The Senior Vikings, under coach Wayne Horner, has been working out at the campus since August 30 preparing for the defence of the Huron -Perth title they won last year. The exhibition game here against Sarnia • should provide Coach' Horner with some idea of • the team's/ chances of repeating this year. The Centaurs were last ,yrs Sarnia. Conference chafppii.,ns, but were losers to the Vikings in a post -season` championship game. They are rated as a powerhouse again this season. Game time for ' the senior game is' 5:15, following the junior garne at •4:00. • The Viking squads return .to Sarnia on Monday to play Sarnia Northern in their final . --exhibition game before the -start of the regular schedule which • tentatively sees Wingham Mustangs playing - here next Thursday, September^ 23. The t. Mustangs were last year's league finalists along with the Vikings. Coach Horner', a perennial pre -season pessimist, sees this year's Viking squad as younger and smaller than' last year's team, and claims it lacks the depth of the previous league -----•-••• hampions.
