MR. AND MRS. E. F. WILLIAMS
Knox Presbyterian Church,. Goderich was decorated
Saturday, July 31 with mauve gla'dioli and white daisies for a
double,ring ceremony conducted by, Rev. G. Lockhart Royal,
at which Shirley Rosalind-Meriam became the bride of Edward
Francis Williams.
° The bride is the daughter orgr. and Mrs. -Stanley Meriam
Goderich, and thegroorn"s parents, are GeOirge Williams and the -‘
late Mrs. Williams,Lonclon,
Wm. Cameron, organist, presided at the organ and
accompanied Mrs. Clayton Edwards.
Given in .marriage by her father, -- the-- bride wore a
floor -length gown of fine polyester crepe, fashioned with
elbow4engt.h. :sleeves, and4ront panelling of Swiss lace. The
front lace pan,elling., was.dotted with seed pearls. A matching
cap of swiss lace held her finger tip veil of French illusion. She
carried a bouquet of yellow roses.
The maid of honour was Miss Lynn MacCuspey, Woodstock.

She wore a flooPlength yellow Own with raised swiss dots:
Lace dutlined the empire waiste and 'baby doll sleeves. She
carried a bouquet of white daisies entwined with yellow
ribbon. Smallyellow rose clutters were worn in her hair.
The bridesmaids Miss Brenda Feagan, Goderich, MissEttie
' Wynja, Landon, and ,Miss Arlene Chipchase, London, were
dressed identically in fioor-length mauve gowns of raised swiss
dot. They 'carried white daisies entwined with mauve ribbons.
Small mauve rose clusters were worn in their hair.
0 The best man was Peter Roberts of London and the ushers
were Jim Styles, London, Greg Ramsay, London, and the
"brother of the bride, Terrance Meriam, Goderich.
, A dinner and weddingreception followed at the Maitland
Golf and country Club,Goderich.
The bride's mother wore a chiffon dress with white accessories
d a corsage of red ros'es.
orF1rave1ijng, the bride changed to a brown and white •
dotted dress of silk jersey with white accessories and a corsage
of yellow roses.
• Prior to the wedding the bride was honoured at a shower
given in London by Mrs..Jim.. Ramsay and Mrs. Rita Roberts;
shower for relatives and friends in Grand Bend given by Miss
Arlene Chipchase and Miss Ettir-Wynja; and a surprise shower
held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Feagan, hostessed by •
Mrs. Earl Feagan and Miss BrendaTeigan. •
Best wishes were sent from,, Kentucky, Quebec, Austr-alia
• and Nova Scotia. • ,
The couple will reside in London.

Pink cornflower and white starburst daisies , in brass
candleabra formed the setting for the -Wedding on Saturday;
July 31, of Barb,WaSson and Terry Richmond in.Blyth United
Church. ° , •
The bride is the clan -kilter of Mr. and Mrs. George Wasson,
R. R. 3, Walton. The groom is, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Mervin 'Richmond.
The Rev. Cecil Wittich • officiated at the ceremony. Mrs.
'Margaret Kai was organist-, and accompanied the soloist Mrs.
Barbara Bosman who sang Chapel of Love, Wedding Prayer
and More.„
The bride given in marriage by her father, wore a white_
A-line floor length gown of polyester charmaine. The bodice,
was of imported Holland lace oer polyester. The fitted sleeves
and collar were lace and were finished with 'scalloped edging: -
She wore her grandmother's locket containing the pictures of
her great-grandparents. ,The nylon veil w,as held in place by a
• small cluster of pink roses,. and fell into a long train. The train
was accented •by lace matching the bodice of the dress. The.
bride's grandrnatherf Mrs-. E. Storey train, and- the bridelashioned her dress and veil. She carried a
bouquet of white stephanotisAnd pink roses.
. Miss Clara Wasson, sister of the bride,'Vas Maid of'honour.
She wore a hot pink floor -length gown 6f patterned sheer over,.
pink polyester crepe. The sheer formed a short train falling .
from the empire waist.. The dress was trimmed with white lace ,
roses. . • • '
' Bridesmaids were Mrs. Diane Wasson, sister-in-law of the
bride; Mrs. Arlene Falconer, sister of the groom; and Mrs. Bev
Snell, friend of the bride: They wore identically styled dresses
to the maid of honour's, but in unpattertied pink sheer over
pink polyester crepe. They were, trimMed with white lace
centred with pink fOses.
The flowergirls were Misses Valerie and Shelley Wasson,
nieces of the bride. Their dresses were similarly styled and of
identical material to the maid of honour's. The dresses were
fashioned by the bride and 'her attendants. All A carried fan
shaped , bouquets of pink carnations and white, starburst
daisies, with matching flowers in their hair.
Bed man was Ross Scott, TillsonlItnt-trother-in-law of the
groom. ,Ushers were Ronald Falconer, Goderich, brother-in7law
of the ,groom,, Albert Wasgon, Blyth, brother of the bride; and
'iCliff Snell, Blvth. friend of the groom.
The bride's mother received the guests wearing eViolet
crepe dress with silver metallic trim,' white accessOries„and a
„pale yellow rose corsage. She -was -'-assisted by the groan's
sister, Mrs. Donna Delaere, wearing a figured crepe 'pant suit,
white accessories, and a white corsage. Also assisting was Mrs.
June Scott, sister of the groom. ,

'The bride chose a purple and white hoe pant suit:with white

Ron Shaw, a member of the Goderich Signal—Star's editorial
staff .was married August 14 in Kapuskasing to Peggy' Louise
Ballantyne. The couple is residing at 33 Anglesea St.,
Goderich.

John Boa, and Miss Margaret Brindley were wed in a quiet
" ceremony in Kirkland Lake United Church on August 3.

The marriage took place in Toronto .on July 23, between
David KeIIy, son' of Mr. and Mrs. S. Kelly, 160 Wilson
Goderieh, and Susan Rock\--TOod, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.
Rockwood, Sunningdale, St. John's, Newfoundland.
The • Rev. John Netson officiated 'at the cbibble-ring
ceremony.
The couple will'residein Toronto.
STANLEY—RICHARDSON
Rev. Do'hal-d-Beck--officiated--for-the-double ring ceremony
uniting in marriage Ruth Carey Richardson and John Clare
Stanley, both of Goderich. The wedding tobk place in Bayfield
United Church -on August 9 at 4:30 p.m. •
In attendance for the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Ken
Weber of Goderich, Wayne aa4Darlene (Muter of Ottawa, Mr.
and Mrs. Ron Chatter of Surnmerside, Prince Edward Island,
and Miss Bonny Weber of Toronto.
The wedding dinner was held at the Village Inn in Bayfield,
After a honeymoon to northern IVIichigan, the couple took
up residence in Goderich. ••

A northern Ontario camping trip is, the honeythoon plan of

The bride ,of Kitchener is a daughter of Mrs. Douglas
Holland, 705 Charles St. E.., and. Marvin Sheppard, R. R. 1,
Gadshill. The bridegroom is a son of Mr, and Mrs. Robert
Ginn, 133 Woodhaven Rd., Kitchener.
Herb Kampferseck, Also of Kitchener, ushered.
A reception was field at the Embassy HOtel, St. Agatha.
The newlyweds will live on Fraynor Ave.; KircOner..

mauve mums for the July 31 wedding at which Rev. R.C.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schwanz,
Goderich, and the groom's parents are Mr.. and MiSTAlvin

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of
white .crepe trimmed with lace flowers. The wedding gown was
made by the bride -and her paternal' grandmother. She .wore a
gold neck chain hung with the bpal engagement ring which had
belonged to her maternal -great grandmother. She carried red
rose buds- and white daisies. •-•.
Maid of honor was Miss Kathryn Robertson, Goderich. She
wore a mint green crepe floor dress featuring an empire
waistline, short puff sleeves and white velvet ribbon trim. She
carried white daisies.
Bridesmainds were Mrs. Synda Gilmore, Sarnia, and Miss
Lynda ,Reed, Goderien Mrs. Gilmore's dress was of the same
style as .,the maid of honor's- dress but featured coral printed
chiffon trimmed with mint green velvet. Miss Reed was
-gowned identically 'to the maid of honor: They both carried
white daiiies.

Bryan Stothers, Nile,..and Claude Gilmore, Sarnia.
Bud 'Vases sweetpeas decorated the tables in Nile Church
hall. The bride's mother received guests in a navy and white
erimplene dress with navy accessories and a corsage of :pink
carnations'. The•groom's mother -wore a pink crepe dress, white
accessories and 'a corsage -of yellow carnations.
' A honeymoon follOwed to Niagara Falls, Lindsay and
Georgian Bay, the bride travelling in a red and white polka dot
tilk jersey dress with white accessories..
The newlyweds are residing at RR 6 Goderich.
• Wedding guests were present from Sarnia, Lindsay,
Mitchell, ..StoulTafie: Kincardine, Seaforth, Delhi and
Goderich. ,

Prior to her marriage the bride was feted at several,showers
given by Miss Wendy Love and Miss' Kathy Robertson; Mrs.
