Earl Elliott and the son of — Mrs. J.K. Hunter and the late Mr. Hunter, all of Goderich; were married amid baskets of white gladioli .and chrysanthemums. Wm. WEBSTER Nile United Church, Nile, was decorated Saturday, July:24 with standards of white daisies and red and pink roses for double -ring ceremony conducted by Rev. Clarence ,1VIcClenaghan, Dungannon, at which Daren Doreen McKenzie1 and Allan Douglas Webster were married. ' The bride is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Roderich C The bride's uncle, E.A. Elliott 'of Goderich, escorted her to the altar: She chose. a 'floor -length gown of silk organza-. fashioned With guipure lace outlining the scoop- neckline, empire waistline and hemline. 'Guipure floral lace' appliques encrusted the,. bodice and front of the A-line skirt. A detachable bowed train swept to chapel length. A floral cluster held her floor -length veil of silk illusion. She carried a nosegay of white roses and stephanotis. A sister . of the bride, Mrs. James Hall, Kitchener, was - matron.of honor. She wore a floor -length gown' of blue striped 'sats' peau, .floral lace outlining the short sleeves, empire waist and neckline. A floral hair .arrangment complimented. her ensemble and she. carried a •basket of pink carnations --blue ' , cornflowers and yellow daisies. The bridesmaids were Miss Sharron Jefferson, RR 2 Auburn, and Miss .Katherine ':F>ear, -Kitchener. They -wore gowns styled similarly to the matron of honor but in yellow" . and pink. They also carried baskets of pink carnations, blue' cornflowers and yellow daisies and wore floral' hair arrangments x James Hunter, Matheson, brother of ' the groom; wa ,best man. The guests wereushered vby Paul Dockstader, Gode ch and Dan Brough, Toronto. • The ' 'wedding reception was held at the Candlelight Restaurant where baskets of white gladioli an,d chrysanthemums formed the setting: The bride's mother wore a yellow floral organza formal gown with long sleeves and white accessories: Her corsage was of white roses. The mother ` 'of the' groom chose a' green and 'gold formal gown of chiffon with long sleeves, white 'accessories and a corsage of white roses. , For travelling, the bride changed to an original red and" white Italian silk knit dress and cape ensemble with white accessories and a corsage of white roses, • • The ride was feted at several showers prior to the,wedding. Hostesses were Mrs. Ralph Smith, Miss Sharron Jefferson and Mrs, John HazlittlZand Mrs. Verrfon Smith. Howard Blake, Lucknow, uncle of the groom was the organist and the soloist was Miss Nancy Anderson, Auburn, who sang Hear Our Prayer and 0 Perfect Love Given in .marriage ' by her father, the.' bride wore a floor -length princess style gown of• fine polyester accented by• hand-etnbroidered lace, Victorian collar and bell sleeves. Her four -tiered veil was _geld in place by a headpiece of lace and pearls. She carried -an heirloom Irish linen handkerchief which has been carried by. brides of; the paternal grandrpother's family for 160 years. Her flowers were a cascade of red roses and white daisies. • Matron of honor was Mrs. John Nechacov, Kitchener. The bridesmaids were Miss Shirley .Norman, Goderich, and Mrs. Gary .Keri, Nile. They were gowned alike in blue floor -length empire -waisted gowns of polyester wit daisy motif and a multi -colored sash; They wore white 'daisies in their hair and baskets of multi -colored daisie's accented by fern, Grob., carried baskets was Gordon Daer, Auburn. Ushers were Glen Webster, Auburn, and"Murray McKenzie, Goderich. • The wedding reception' was at Nile United Church ,where the decorations were pink and red roses and blue candles. The bride's mother wore a short -sleeved, street -length aqua chiffon dress accented • with gold and blue trim, a matching long-sleeved chiffon, coat and a corsage of pink roses. The • groor.,'s mother chose a pink chiffon below the knee dress . with pearl beaded sash and a corsage of white sweetheart roses, For travelling to North-Eastern .Ontario, the bride changed to a peach imported crimpknit sleeveless A-line dress with white accessories. The young couple are residing at the groom's farm at RR 3 Auburn. She wore a long veil which was held in place by a matching wedding band headpiece. -She carried a bouquet of shasta daisies, white roses, stephanotis and trailing ivy. Maid of honor was Miss Barbara Semple, London. She wore a chiffon empire -styled gown with a blue bodice, featuring long sleeves with 'a figured floor -length skirt of blue and mauve and highlighted by a mau�.�e,. velvet ribbon at the waistline. She carried a nosegay of shasta daisies 'and mauve carnations. Bridesmaids Mrs. Howard Chambers, Ottawa, Miss Kathy Chrysler, 'London, and Miss Wendy Mustard, sister of the bride, Varna, were gowned identically to the maid of honor. Groomsman was Joe Riehl, • -brother ofthe groom, Goderich.' Ushers were andy and David Mustard, brothers of he bride, Varna, and Kenneth Mothers, Goderich. The wedding reception was held •at the Harbdurlite Inn, Goderich. The bride's mother wore a blue batiste dress with white accessories and ,a corsage of pink carnations. The groom's mother selected a figured chiffon dress with a corsage Given in, ry marriage by' her father, the bride wore a nylon crystalette floor length gown with a stand up collar, The gown was triTmed with embroidered lace insertions with white satin 'ribbon woven through. Her floor -length train fell frorn the - waist and was trimmed with daisies. Her jewellery was a -diamond set heart pendant,., a gift of the groom. ' The maid 'of honor was Miss Dorothy Taylor of Brampton who wore a floor -length gown of chartreuse peau de sole covered covered .with multi -colored sheer nylon. In her hair she wore - tiny multi- colored rosettes and she carried abouquetof bronze and white mums.. , The two bridesmaids Miss Bonnie Collins of Kincardine and Miss Debbie Errington of Lucknow, niece of the 'bride were dressed identically in floor length gowns of chartreuse peau de soie trimmed with yellow and green daisies and elbow -length tiered sleeves, they wore multi -colored yrooettes in their hair. Their 'bouquets were of bronze and white mums. The"flower girl ,M Cathy Oke of Goderich Township was dressed identically to '"Bridesmaids and carried a white and gold . basket of yello roses, white carnation and lily -of -the valley. The best .man was Jim Oke of• Goderich Township and the ushers were Wayne Willis of Toronto and Don Sieman of Goderich. Bill Kuik, nephew of the bride acted as ringbearer, A dinner and wedding reception followed at the Harborlite In'o, Goderich, where ,the tables were decorated with'yellow and white daisies and white.candles. The bride's sister, Mrs. Ell. Gray of North Bay wore a long:sl,eeved aqua satin dress and a corsage of pink carnations. - The groom's aunt, Mrs. Jas: Cameron of Bayfield wore a blue tatteta long-sleeved dress and her ,,corsage was of pink earnatio The co le will reside at 17.8 Elgin'A`ve:, West in-Goderich. Prior to her marriage the bride was feted at showers, Miss Dorothy Taylor- held a shower at her parent's home in St. Helen's. A shower for relatives and friends was held at the home of Mrs. Jim Oke in Goderich Township. Mrs. Diane Park held a miscellaneous shower at her home in Dungannori.and a community shower was held in the Dungannon United church. The groom is employed by Dearborn Steel and Tubing of Goderich and the bride is on the nursing staff at the Alexander Marine and General Hospital,Goderich. ti I I; I ' r el r e. of white roses.
