Recreation committee Gov't. will pay 1/3 salaries At a recent meeting of the Goderich Recreation and Cormnunity Center Board, a report from the auditor was' received informing the Committee that if will be reechinci a grant of one third of costs ti .,1.1 the Department of Education' through' ith Youth and Recreation Branch to help Off set costs incurred through wages to employees at. the .40 Kinsmen Pool. The grants will come through a prOgiam , --offerd by the Department of Education to Communities who operate approved programs. It provides for one third of the costsr involved in staffing the programs with a maximum of $5,000. An additional grant of $1,000 will also be available to the Board to help with maintenance costs. Recreation Board member Doug Cruickshank reported that it was felt the _offices were,:zin need 'of -remodeling and that one estimate on the project had been received sin the sum of $364.51.
