Randy Baker is no ordinary
14.year old; He may seem like
.an average ,teenager with his tall,
lean good looks topped by a full
crop of long light ' brown hair
styled in today's modern way,
but Randy -Baker has:an.unusual

The London youth doesn't

interesteri in the Colonial era,

was when he ' stumbled on an
article in a book that he was
reading about" frontiersmen that
he first realized this compelling
urge to delve more and more
'deeply into the tools and
equipment of , that' age •- or it
may even have been television
shows like the Young Rebels
which whetted his appetite. for
colonial culture.

cannon, for instance, is a
masterpiece, considering it was

While there' were no prizes to
be won at the Art Mart, Randy
found a certain .,amount of
pleasure in watIng' others
admire his handiwork
But a faraway •
,look in ' the
young man's eyes suggested that
he may have been using this 'idle
time' to dream up new : and
different ways to improve his
pioneer village and the hobby
which is just beginning for him:
