The Knights retaliated •with attack after attack. ' Jimmy Watt had Ta fine breakaway midway through the first half, but failed 'td place the ball in the net. Bill Nurse had a terrific shot that he rocketted from 30 yards. The ball smashed the' cross bar and went'out for a goal kick. About 10 minutes from the end, ' Bill Nurse picked a corner kick,jinked about to beat two Knights and place' a superb ,ball past Bill Sanderson (the Knights goalkeeper) to make it two' nil. Now the Knights started to pile on the pressure, but only in vain. Again John' Grace, the Knights -young stylish centre, hit the post from a breakaway.
