provincial tryouts Sat.,
The Town of Goderich

provincial soccer team but no
funds to send the boys to
Scarborough this weekend °for
' the tryouts.
"•According' to soccer officials

Saturday.
The OMSA held its first
concentration recently and
chose 58 ' players, 24 -of which'
have been invited . back to
—•twice -a -week workouts :, ,in
Mississauga.
Yt„ But the search for the best
talent in the province is .not
over, and Goderich soccer
officials would like to send their
hopefuls to this weeke.nd's•
tryout.
The provincial junior coach,
Geoff Whitehead, has promised.
to, "look at everybody." ,
"-There is no deadline as
such,°' Whitehead has said.
But he warned, "If you're
-going to represent your province
you've `got to be good plus."
The team will play a game at
Quebec late in September and
there are hopes that an Eastern
Canada and possibly an east -west
championship might,, also be
staged, this summer.
