The registration guest book was,, in charge of Mrs. Gordon Taylor and Mrs. 'Frank Raithby. The• service was in • charge of the Knox United Church and their "'minister, Pastor Alfred Fry, was in charge. Mrs. N,urman. Wightman, the ' ehurche„orgarristx n.taz.•tga. the music. Frank Raithby., chairman of the trustee` board, welcomed all to the service and thanked. everyone for their co-operation, those in charge of the grounds,' and, also, those for their financial support. He thanked Harry Webster for the loan of his organ and, also, ' to. the Arthur Funeral Home for the chairs. He announced the appointment of Mrs. Norman McDowell as the secretary -treasurer, to follow the resignation of Mrs. Gordon Taylor, who has, served many .s ,-Awarded bursary • Congratulations to a former :' „Fears. resident of this village, Miss Vera w.. Diane is a graduate of the five-year' Arts and Science program at the F. E. Madill Secondary School. She has accepted a position at the Listoavel , Memorial Hospital, commencing in Augu„st. Dan MacLean is, a patient in Kincardine °Hospital. Mr. MacLean has' been in failing health for some time and has been cared for by M. and Mrs. Ewan MacLean. North Ashfield Public, School pupils and teachers ' enjoyed a trip to Owen Sound on , Wednesday..
