45th' memorial
service held at
Ball`'s c'e.metery
A large crowd attended the
45th ahpual memorial service at
Ball's cemetery last Sunday
afternoon. The registration guest
book was,, in charge of Mrs.
Gordon Taylor and Mrs. 'Frank
Raithby. The• service was in
• charge of the Knox United
Church and their "'minister,
Pastor Alfred Fry, was in charge.

the trustee` board, welcomed all
to the service and thanked.

financial support. He thanked
Harry Webster for the loan of his
organ and, also, ' to. the Arthur
Funeral Home for the chairs. He
announced the appointment of
Mrs. Norman McDowell as the
secretary -treasurer, to follow the
resignation of Mrs. Gordon
Taylor, who has, served many

Miss Diane Chamney, daughter
of. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Chamney
of R. R. 2, Auburn, graduated
from the Perth -Huron Regional
School of Nursing in Stratford;
• Ontario, on May 29.. Diane is a
graduate of the five-year' Arts
and Science program at the F. E.
Madill Secondary School. She
has accepted a position at the
Listoavel , Memorial Hospital,
commencing in Augu„st.

on Saturday when Rev. Kenneth
'Rooney united in marriage Jane
Moncrief and Wayne Hunter,
who will live near London.
Dan MacLean is, a patient in
Kincardine °Hospital. Mr.
MacLean has' been in failing
health for some time and has
been cared for by M. and Mrs.
Ewan MacLean.

pupils and teachers ' enjoyed a
trip to Owen Sound on ,

McCharles spent a few days in
Montreal with Mr. and •Mrs.
,Allan McCharles and family.

home from Kincardine's Hospital
and young son Donald then
entered hospital, only to return
home' and suffer0a fall which
necessitated a 'second return to,
receive stitches to a gash' in his'
face. All's_ ell that ends we
and all. -are on the ' road to
'recovery.

•and is making her home'with Mr.

of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Farrish was
baptised.

Mr`s. Ross Robinson, followed
by prayer. A solo, "Amazing
Grace", was sung b _ Mrs.
Gordon Chamney, accompanied
by Mrs. Donald 'Haines. The
offering was received by Mrs.
William Dodd and. Mrs, Norman
McDowell and dedicated with
prayer by Mrs. Jack Armstrong.
Mrs. Stanley Ball introduced
the guest speaker, the health
nurse from, Goderich. She
showed pictures and told about
their, work with all ages of
people in -the. - County. Mrs.
