North Street United Church, deCorated with candle -lit
standards of white gladioli, was the setting, Saturday, June 26,
for the solemnization of marriage between Miss iAgnes Lane,
daughter of the Reverend Andrew Lane, and Mr. Ray
• Campbell -Rogers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Colin Campbell -Rogers
of Simcoe.
The bride's' father 'officiated at the ceremony and her
brother, Gordon Lane, London, escorted her to the altar.
Attending the couple Were`Miss Mary Lane, Toronto, maid
of honour; Jake Barber, Simcoe, best m4n; and Sandra Lane,,
flower -girl. The usher was Ronald Lane.'

William Cameron ,,w„,as_ the organist for the double -ring
high -fitted bodice, to a slim A-line sk,irt circled With bands of
embroidered lace. it had an attached .circular train, also
banded with lace. Instead .of the traditional veil, the headdress
was. a lace coronet. A cascade of gardenias, stephanotis and
English ivy complemented the all -white ensemble. •
The maid of honour wore an ankle -length printed silk in
colours of bright navy, coral and white, 'with a gathered skirt
falling from an Empire waist -line, a deep border hem -ruffle, ,
and lOng full sleeves, ruffled at the wrists: -The- contrasting
all -white -bodice had a scooped neckline •and choker -collar,
both outlined with tiny jet arid coral beading. With this, the
bride's sister carried a -Victorian nosegay, of daisies,
cornflowers, carnations and coral rose's.
Five-year-old Sandra was bowed and sashed in a long dress'
of white organdy over taffeta, along Empire lines, with the
jewel neckline and short sleeves both trimmea vtritn,oencate
lace. She wore short white gloves, red slippers, arid carried a ,
miniature nosegay of red, white and blue flowers with baby's
breath.
Mrs, Eleanor Hetherington played the wedding music.
The newlywed couple left from the reception at the
Maitland Golf and Country Club, the bride dressed in an
aquamarine frock -and -coat, with , white . accessories and.
gardeniasorsage.
•They will re5ide in Toronto.

For her marriage, the bride wore an, eippire aisted gown in
•white silk organza over- taffeta covered with small appliqued
daisies. The mandarin neckline, waistline and centre frontVere,
• trimmed with a 'double row or scalloped cotton, lace, and the -
wide. cuffed -Puffed sleeves and hem were trimrried•, with a
single row of scallo-ris: Th -e high yoked back, falling out into its
own long oval-shaped train, was also covered with daisiet 'and'
•. edged With scalloped lace. She carried pink and red baby roses ,
with stephanie.
Miss Elaine Bean, sister of the bride, Goderich, as maid of
honor, chose ,a pant dress' of green, featuring a white sheer
blouse with frills down the _front and long, wide cuffed and
.puffed sleeves. The bridesmaid, Mrs: Wolf Uhden, Bridgeport,
•Was gowned -identically -to themaid of honor. Both attendants
carried yellow parasol* with yellow daisies on the handles.
Groomsman was Tony Akscuzic, Oshawa. Ushers were Gary
• Bean, brother of the bride, Collingwood. •
The wedding dinner was served at North Street United
'4"- Churchhall where, table centerpieces were pink spiral candles
-with-Yellow roses, also arranged by Mrs.. Durst.
Thebride'S—mother received her guests in a mauv,e crepe
,dress with white accessories•and a corsage of, yellow roses. She
W assisted by the groom's mother in a beige dress with, °
brown trim, beige accessories and a corsage of salmon -colored -
roses.
For travelling to Cape Cod, the bride ehanged to a pink
sleeveless hot pant outfit with a white gardenia corsage,

,St. Andrew's United Church, Bayfield was decorated with
—• yellow forsythia and red And white tulips as arranged by Mrs.
Charles Scotchmer for the wedding of William Thomas
• Leppington and Dayle Lynn Scotchmer.
• . The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Leppington, RR
2, Bayfield, and the bride is thedaughter of Mr. and Mrs. •

Rev. D. 'Beck officiated at the double -ring ceremony wit
Cox as organist and Peter Postillas soloist, singing This Is
•° My Day' and Exodus. •
The bride, given in marriage by her father wore a princess
line gown fashioned fromvedu de soie with guipure lace,yoke
outlining a slightly scooped neckline and styling the gathered
cuffed, wrist -length sleeves. The detachable train, falling from
the back of the shoulder complemented by matching lace
• insertion swept.to chapel length. She carried yellow roses on a ,
• white leather Bible.
Miss Marlene Scotchmer, RR 3, Bayfield, cousin of the,
bride was maid of honour and wore a floor -length, mint green
polyester crepe. dress in the princess line with high collar and
puffed sleeves. The dress wastrimmed with gold and she
• carried a large_yellow .mum with streamers and Wore tiny
•:yellow mums in her hair. •
• , The bridesmaids, °Martha Corrie of Cli ton and Joyce
Leppington, sister of the groom, RR 2, Bayfield, were dressed
the same ,as the maid of honbur. •

Groomsman' was Toni' Craig of Bayfield and ushers were
John and Walter Leppington, brothers of the groom.
A smorgasbord dinner was held following the ceremony, in
the church basement which was decorated'in yellow, white
and mint green. The mother of the' bride received guests,
wearing a mauve dress and hat with white accessories. and
• white carnations tinted with mauve.
Following thewedding dinner the bridal party visited with
the 'grOom's mother who wag a patient at Clinton Hospital,
Present at the wedding were the groom's two grandmothers,
Mrs. William Turton of Goderich and Mrs. T. H. Leppington of
Clinton. ,
Guests were ' presenii from Windsor, Stratford, Goderich, '
Clinton and Bayfield. °
For the wedding trip to Niagara Falls and Hamilton the
bride wore a pink corded velvet slack suit and corsage of '
yellow roses, The couple Will: residein.Bayfield.
Before the wedding the bride was honoured at a-
.. miscellaneous shower at St. Andrew's Church, Bayfield and a
miscellaneous shower given by Mary McFadden of Bayfield
and at a kitchen shower held by the groom's sister, Miss Joyce

The couple was honoured by a reception held in the
Bayfield Community Centre with a large attendance. Music
was supplied by Boyd's Orchestra of—Ripley. The new
neighbours of .the couple surprised them with a. wedding gift
follbwina their return from their honeymoon.

The bride chose a floor -length gown of white lagoda
• completely covered in an A-line overskirt of chantilly lace,
styled with, an •empire waistline, long sheertsleeves and a
' scooped neckline, acented by crystal sequins. Her floor -length ,.
chapel French illuSioned veil, similarly trimmed with chantilly
lace, was held in place by a crystal floral headpiece. She
• carried a cascade bouquet of yellow sweetheart roses with
white stephanotis,yellow and white shastas and trailing ivy..
• Maid of honor was the bride'ssigter, Miss Faye Merrill,
LondOn. She \vdre. a -pale yellow peasant dress of cotton,voile
with a lace bodice and trimmed with white and kreen daisies.
A green bow and trailing train were attached at the waist. She
carried white and yellow 'Shastas, blue cornflowers and mauve
iceburg mums with trailing ivy. „.. .
Bridesmaids were Miss ElizabethThompson., RR 2, Clinton"
and Miss Barb Weaver, Guelph. Junior bridesmaids were Miss
Elaine Love and Miss Kath Love, both of R.R, f, Zurich. They
were gowned'similarly to the maid of honor.

a mint green organza dress featuring a sequin-trimmedneckline
and a corsage of yellow sweetheart roses.
A honeymoon trip to n Northern .Ontario and Ottawa
followed, the bride wearing a beige lace pant suit trimmed.

gowned identically to the bride but in ,mauve with Mauve'
flowers in her hair and mauve accessories. She carried .a
bouquet of miniature mauve carnations, yellow daisies a9d
baby's breath,'
Groomsman' was Douglas Brindley,- brother of the groom,
Goderich.
• The wedding' reception was held at the Candlelight Inn, with
the bride's mother wearing a rhauye outfit with, white
accessories and 'a corsage of yellow carnatiobs.-
The bride donned a ,yellow polyester ensemble with white
l'aessories and a corsage of bronze' carnations for a 'wedding
trip to Northern Ontario.
