from the. girl who shoplifted
over ,$300, worth of merchandise
out of department stores
because she wanted to see how
much she could get away with.

husband and I have been
separated for six years. We have
four children. The trouble
between us was caused by Pete's
jealousy, His accusations made
my1 life unbearable. so I asked

Pete adores the children and
they love him. 1 am considering
a reconciliation for this reason.
The major obstacle is my
parents. I married Pete against
their wishes. They say it would
be a terrible mistake to take him

This young lad with the winning smile is David, Who will
be. four in the late summer. Lovely dark eyes suggest his
Indian background, but otherwise his coloring is fair with
light -brown hair and fair skin,
Ile is a healthy, lively child, the kind usually described
as "all boy." These days, he is busy trying to graduate from
• thre-wheeled bike to a small two -wheeler.. David's.

001. Since he loves the water and is an adventurous type
anyway, soniebody,has to keep an alert eye on him most of
the dine.
When. David first came into -the care of the Children's
Aid Society, he was an unruly', noisy youngster, 'yet he
clung to his foster mother, upset if she was out of sight.
Now, after a term at nursery school, he is much less de.
pendent. • He is p.• favorite with the teachers and, has many
friends. His behavior has Improved, too. Though still very
active, he is more amenable.

Sure. Guidance covers .•
vocations and provides advice on
proper study habits, etc. But it
also is a built-in opportunity to
talk away your fears and your
doubts with someone who cares
about you in a friendly though
professional way.
Mr. Crawford.' tells me that
many Guidance teachers have
visits from their former students
long after they have -left 'schb-ol.
That's probably because the
Guidance- teacher has' proven
himself or herself as a trusted
sounding -board who can also
realign thinking. objectives and
priorities in a mOst1 pleasant
manner.
