The bride .is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Arvid Nordahl,
Burris London
rs. Rosmary Gazara; Toronto, sang Our Father and Ave,
Marie. .
Given in marriage by, her father, the bride wore a chiffon
floor -length gown with a lace collar and up -to -the -elbows lace
cuffs. The'gown was trimmed with a tiny ribbon of pale pink
through „the collar following the bodice lines and coming to, a
bow, and,:trailing down the back of the dress. A Juliet -style
headpiece held a floor -length tiered chiffon veil and she carried
a cascade of baby carnations encircled by , baby sweetheart
roses. ,. . = a,
Maid of honor was, Miss Patricia, ? 1urnby, Goderich. She
!— wore' an empire -lined hostess gown featuring a pale turquoise:
bodice 'with ruffle, trim and lilac, blue and turquoise print'
'culottes.. She carried a cascade of daisies.
The two bridesmaids, Miss Patricia Wilkins,, Goderich' and
kiss Margerett Burns, London, were gowned identically to the
maid of honor. •
The groomsman was John H. Burns, London. Ushers were•,
Ge ,' . A. Burns, London, and Donald Sierran, Goderich
wedding reception was held at Tiger Dunlop Inn where
the tables were.decorated with white and yellow shasta mums.
The bride's mother wore a yellow shantung coat and dress
ensemble with a white. orchid encircled• in a ' ring of
_- stephanotis..The groom's mother chose an Aline robin's egg,
blue crimplene dress with a ,white orchid centering a.ring of
stephanotis. •
For _travelling to the west end of Manitoulin Island, the
bride wore a maxi -dress with white round -neck bodice And
navy and white checked bottom, the natural waistline
accented by__a red sash. She wore a black velvet choker with
gold butterfly trim and navy patent shoes and accessories.
The 'couple will reside in Sarnia.
Prior to her marriage, the bride was feted at showers given
by her Goderich neighbors; .her co-workers 'at Great Lakes
'y" Air -Lines, Sarnia; her maid of honor"With friends from the
Goderich area; and the groom's family at a family event..

entertained' by their family at
Tiger Dunlop Inn, June 5, in
-honor of their 50th wedding.

Saltford-Benmiller road.
The golden wedding
observance took place within a
couple of miles of "Mount
Pleasant," less than that from
their farm home in most of the
years since, and• within sight of
their present residence; just east
of the Dunlop intersection:
Both Mr. arid Mrs. Clutton
are native pf Colborne. For.the
honeymoon in 1921 they drove
away in a L motorcar over gravel •
roads. The horseless carriage had
come to stay, but there was not
a foot of paved highway in this
part of the province, and a rural
member of the Legislature had
demanded a 15-mile-an=hour
speed limit because the cars were
frightening horses: •

was fastened with an heirloom cameo which 'had belonged to
the bride's maternal great great. grandmother. She carried a

Matron of honor was Mrs. Kathlene Linklater, Goderich..
Bridesmaids-•were---MVM-isses--Betty Lou Patterson, Wiarton, and
Carol MacDonald, 'Goderich. They were gowned alike in pastel
multi -colored Grecian gowns edged in go -Td'. -Tt ey�wb" e`"'baby
pink carnations in their hair and carried crescent bouquets of , �,
pink carnations...
Groomsman was' Barry MacKenzie, London. usher were
Ronald Imbeau ,and Robert Wallace, all of Goderich.
The wedding reception was held at the Hrbourlite Inn.The
bride's mother chose a pink ptryester crepe dress with fitted
bolero jacket' edged with kilted ruffles. ,Her purse corsage was ,
of pink sweetheart roses:
marked in 1949 by the award of
the Master' Breeder's Shield by
the Holstein -Friesian Association
of Canada. Mr. Clutton for many
years was sec Cetary of the Huron
Holstein Club. '
Mr. Clutton built the Dunlop.
Motel, on Highway 21, in 1955,
and operated it successfully u til
a few years ago, when he sold -to
their son James and built their
-preset, residence on' County
Road 25.

liixre 'green ribbed jump suit with beige accessories and a
corsage of yellow rose buds. •
Mr. and Mrs. Patterson are residing in Goderich.

The bridesmaid was Ivy Elliott,
cousin of the bride,, now Mrs.
Fraser McTavish of Windsor}
..,.who because of a recent, illness
was unable 'to ,come up for the
anniversary. 'Three of the
Cluttons' four • sons were
- present: William; James and
Dougall, but 'Ed., in ' Regina,
could not get: away. `Seven of.
eleven grandchildren adorned
the gathering.
A dellcio•us.dinner was served
on tables decorated with Mauve
,and gold favors,and'iris blooms.
