I spent some time. last Friday talking to Betty Bedard concerning things at the pool and Y am pleased to report that.Betty has things well under control. $etty, as ' some of you probably know, has completed the 'first year , of a two-year course at Fanshawe College in Recreational Leadership. Years ago these courses were unheard of and even if they had been available, there would have been no work for the graduates. -` `Now things are different and las a result of her ,new training, Betty has come 'back to Goderich this summer all fired -up with enthusiasm and with plenty. of good solid ,know;how to back it up. Another exciting feature of this year's pool program is the bigger and better variety of • activities. It appears that swimmingwill only be a small partof the total program. The playground program_ has been expanded this ' year ' and according._toL..Betty there will be as many field trips as time and finances will al'l'ow. Family swimming is another top priority item.
