Golf club sets
time -table for play

started op Monday, May 31,
with the Vies ad the Cherubsd
The Vies. out shot the Cherubs
by seven goals to none.
The goals were scored by
Larry . Dannelly (IL, Grant
Shelton (1), Thin McNaughton
(2)., Bill Nurse (2), and Jim
Smith (1). Both teams put up a
fight, as the Cherubs were short
handed for the game.

beat the Knights three. goals to
none.
The. scorers were: 'Kevin
,Meriam (1), Ron Sowerby (1),
and Doug Marshall (1). The
Lions kept the game under hand

Cherubs.
The game on Monday - Vies 'vs,
Knights — is postponed until
Wednesday at 7:00 sharp.

of success improve.
I think • all :golfers would
benefit from What I call men-
tal imagery, In other words,
picture the shot you want to
hit. If it is the first tee, picture

the course. As I said in a pre-
.vious column, every golfer
should plan to arrive early at
the course, at least half an
hour, to hit some bail.' While
hitting these shots, picture
yourself on the course. For ex-
ample, say .your seconcl shot on
the third hole is usually a
five iron. Imagine you are, on
the course and Make the shot
Think 'Before You Sheet
in your mind exactly where
you want the' shot to land.
Don't kid yourself — he realis-
tic'. If you don't figure- otit
where the ball should land, the •
,chances are good that you will
take a wild, cut, and then go
chase it.

TIP OF. THE WEEK
If the hackles on your flies become , squashed or flat-
tened, hold the hook of the fly until, a pair of needlenose
pliers over' a steaming kettle for a few seconds. The hackles.
will soon be restored to their natural bushy position.

words, when using lighter
lures, the lure, sholild-he 'far-

sonal experience that you
should usea lead of about two
feet when using lures 1/8 oz. or
lighter, .a lead of one foot to
eighteen inches when using 1/4
oz. to :!ti oz. lures (Fig. 1), and.
no lead at all when using 1/2 oz.
