MacMillan was presented with
the degree of Doctor of Divinity,
honora 'causa. This is an honour
that- we of Knox Church, •
Goderich, can and must share. in.
' From 1948 to 1960, Dr.
MacMillan' Wai Minister of our
historic congregation. Through
the aguizing loss'siiistained by
the congregation in September,
1950, in the burning of. the
recen14y- renewed building;
through the planning, deCiding
and carrying out of the bUildiog ,
of the present building', through.
the laborious hours Of paying for
the edifice - Robert MacMillan
was more than "a Man- of' the
hour." •
He was the heart and soul of
the pastorate. In September,
1-952, the new Knox_ Churchwas-...
opened and dedicated by the ,
Moderator of the General
Assembly. By 1958 the entire
payment had been made and the --
moitgage liquidated. Due to his
dedication and diligence these
massive things were done.
In 1960 Rev. MacMillan's
ministr); came to an end in
Goderich with his anointment
