Presbyterian Church was held in
*" , the Church Parlour on Monday,
April 19th. The President, Edna
Pollock, conducted the opening
exercises and the short business
period.
An invitation. .from, the
Maitland Presbyterial to attend
• the meeting in Brussels on Wed.
May 19th was received. A letter
of thanks from our missionary,
Miss Ida White, 'serving on the
field in India, was -read. The
• ladies from 'the Auburn W.M.S.
were present as guests, and
• were warmly welcomed by the
President. The.,group, under the

leadership of ' Audrey Royal,
then took charge . of the
meeting. One of the • highlights
of the evening were several
choral selections performed. by
the Ladies' Chorus- of the
Chancel Choir accompanied by
their director, William Cameron.
Audrey Royal' presented the.
devotional part of the program,
and introduced the participating
members of the group as they
took part in ,a very interesting
and educational discussion.
As an introduction to ' the
summaries, of the different
religions, Bonnie Dunn stated

their 60th wedding 'anniversary

The couple was married in
Toronto April 29, 1911, in St.
Martin's In The Field Anglican
Chureh. They' have resided in
Goderich since 1919. Mr; Taylor

Mrs. 'Taylor is, well known by
Goderich and area women 'for
her activity in various fields. For
many years she was an energetic'
worker for the, Home and School
Association in Goderich and is a
former vice'president of the
Ontario -Federation of florntand

She recalls the early Home
and ''Sehbor —.Assotiati on in
Goderich which 'was responsible
for • the introduction of
innoculations against diseases for
children in Goderich schools;
, music instruction in -the local
schools; as. well as' vocational
• training for students,here.
For 44 years; Mrs: Taylor was
' a valued ,worker 'in' the Huron
County Children's Aid Society
• and just last year was honored
by the local c,AS at the annual
banquet for her outstanding .
efforts on behalf -of children.
In . her church, Mrs. Taylor
has contributed - to many -
organization's. ..She assisted
during the establishment of the
Presbyterian Young • People's
Society at Knox; she is a past
president and an honorary
ymoeaMrs.be r of the Knox Women's
Missionary- Society; and she.was
kmember ofew
.thhoir for many
Mr. Taylor has been
enthusiastic lawn bowler
throughout.the years. .
• The couple had, two sons,
Starr and • Joe, now both_
. deceased.
