Mitchell Figure Skating Club at

Jack McPherson of Stratford,
president, chaired the meeting.

proposed constitution and
bylaws of Inter -club fof
discussion and' amendments,
which were made and approved.
Inter -club has really grown
since its beginning five years ago.
and now has 15 figure skating
clubs in the group; as a result of
this Mr. McPherson stated thatInter-club Wmld'••become three
- groups —. Stratford,'St. Mary's,
`"Mitchell and Clinton in one;
Goderich, Blytil,k Wingham,
Seaforth, Han'o,,ver and
Walkerton in one and Paisley,
Teeswater, Harriston, Mildmay
and 'Lucknow in the other.
These clubs will all have their
o'cvn 'senior professionals and,
hopefully this clubs senior
p ofessional, Bruce Brady, will
reside in Goderich.
Skaters may be intereste,•to
know that Albert Dyer,
Inter -club test chairman,
reported 552 members tried
C.F.S A. tests and 421 passed
du Ting the past season with 12
out of 15 clubs reporting.

Kitchener Finnigan of 38:
Britannia Road East... .
Georgi graduatefrom the
National Parks Commission
School of Horticulture early this
month. He may now use the
initials N.P.D. with his name.
George had all his public
schooling, in West Wawanosh,
where he and -his family lived at
R. R. 2, near 4Jungannon.
Graduating from Grade 12,
he worked with -a
landscaping firm in Kitchener
Tor.three years, after which time'
• he was accepted at the School of
Horticulture, the only one of its
kind in North America. ,
Located on the Niagaraltiver
Parkway, the school limits its
enrollment to 12 students a year
for a three year course. It is very
proud of the '12 who graduated
in this last class and all will find
employment in ` Municipal Parks
Departments, golf courses,
Provincial and Federal agencies,.

Conestoga offers
course. in tourism

A course' in marketing for the
tourist industry is to be held <en
June 5 and 6 at the Municipal
'Offices in Bayfield. •
Ross Milton of ' the • Huron
.Centre Advisory Council of
Conestoga .College, who arranged
the course, reported the type of
instru•ctio'n will be of a seminar _
.nature; limited' to -the first- 25
applicants.. Similar courses will
likely be held in other parts of
'Huron County as The need arises.
Mr. Milton revealed 'the
course is designed to insure a
- working knowledge of catering
to the' tourist by all people who
may come in contact with thil
travelling public. This would
include hit el and motel
„personnel, police, civic officials, -
retail merchants_and. restaurant
.period would be in the nursery
school in Clinton and another in
Goderich which is in the process
of being \esablished. The school
in Clinton, conducted by Mrs.
Ray Bird, is -held in Wesley Willis
United Church. Rev.' A. J.

secondary. education now under
investigation.
