Refreshing fruit drink
with

Here is a refreshing beverage
to serve at buffet or for the
children as an after-school drink.
Garnish with a scoop of ice
cream or; whipped cream to add
calories for the extra energy the
' small fry *needs. - • .
CHOCOLATE -PINEAPPLE
DRINK
' 1/4 pup cocoa
• 1/4 cup sugar
V4 cup boiling water
3 cups cold milk
.• 1/3 • cup frOen
% cup sieved cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 egg yOlks '
3/4 cup water
'/2 tsp. vanilla
..1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
3 egg Whites .• ' •
Chocolate wafers •
Sift - flour, Ilgar,; cocoa,
baking soda and a1t into large;
mixing bowl. Make a Well and

Mix cocoa with sugar; add •:-egg.'whites--in Separate bowl; add
boiling water. Stiruntil well cream of tartar then beat until
blended. Beat in cold milk then stiff peaks form. Fold egg wbites
add pineapple concentrate; mix . into cocoa mixture gently until
until blended. Pour into tall blended. Divide batter into two .
glasses; garnish with ice cream or greased and lightly floured
whipped cream. Yield:
servings.
LAZY -DAY GEMS
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs

OF THE
Town Of Goderich
A By-law'to regulate and prohibit the placing
• or dumping of refuse, garbage or other waste
on highways or 'Other lands within the Town
of Goderich.
BE IT ENACTED by • the Municipal Council Of The
Corporation of theTown of Goderich as'a by-law thereof as
follows: "
1. No person shall place or dump refuse, garbage °rather
waste, on any highway within the Town of Goderich.
This section shall not apply to any worksbeing carried
out by the Corporation, on ariy. highway which .has not
been opened for public use„but in such case no refuse,
garbage or other waste may be placed or dumped
thereon unless a sanitary fill method shall beused.

No person shall throw, place, or deposit dirt, fill, glass,
handbills, paper, garbage. within the Town of Goderjch
eXcept in compliance with the provisions of this bylaw.
3. No person shall place or dump refuse, garbage or waste
on other lands within the Town of Goderich unless there
has been issued and there is in good standing current ana
valid permission therefor issued under the provisions of
this by-law.
4. The owner of any lands desiring to have refuse, garbage
or other waste deposited thereon, shall apply in writing
to the Municipal Council of the Town' of Goderich,
specifying the lands in respect of which. permission is
desired, the nature of thkmaterial to be deposited
thereon and undertaking, that if the permission is
granted only the material specified, shall be deposited
upon such 'lands. The Municipakdouncil of the Town of
Goderich may thereupon grant permission valid for the
period of six months from the date of permigion, to
permit the specified material to be deposited upon the
specified lands, and the permission shah' be valid only in
respect of the lands and of the 'material specified
therein.
5. If permission' is granted for the placing or dumping of
garbage upon any lands, a sanitary fill method Shall be
used and the same shall be carried out to the entire
satisfaction ofithe Muhicipal Council of; the Town of

6. If it shall appear to the Municipal Council 9f the.Town
:of Goderich that the material deposited upon the said
lands is other than that named or that it is obnoxious or
offensive or creates a nuisance,' or being garbage, a
sanitary fill method. is not being used or that the fill is
not being carried out to their satisfaction, they may
revoke such permission and thereafter no one shall
depkvsit,any,refusergarbage or waste upon the said lands
until permissionis granted therefor.
7. Any person convicted of a •'breach of any of the
provisions of this by-law. shall forfeit -and pijrat the
discretion of the convicting Magistrate a penalty not
exceeding $300.00 (inclusive of costs) for each offence.
• 8. That this by-law shall come into force and take effect on
the day of.the.final passing thereof,

Kinsmen playgiound, April 12,
with 22 members present.
" Among the. correspondence •
was a letter from. the Goderich
and District Association for the
Mentally Retarded asking .for
support in helping to send. the
mentally, retarded children to
summer camp: It was decided •
to -donate .$50.90 to them.
. It was moved ,that the group
should renew our sponsorship
for Yiota, a Greek child which
the club has sent gifts. and
Clothing to for ,a number of
years.
The president, Sylvia McGee,
then read the by-laws for which
changes are to be voted on at r
the Convention in May.
A date for inviting the
Clinton club for a meeting in
o May Was 'discussed. A bowling
party was Sor4944,- More plans
are to be made, at the next
meeting.
Final preParatiOns were made
for the Interclub meeting on
April 14, which 135 are
planning to attend.
Following the • meeting, gifts
were' wrapped which had, been
donated- by each Kinette for
prizes at Interclub.
