correct the situation.
News that the Town of Goderich is
interested in acquiring' the property as a
municipal• asset may come as'a surprise to
some taxpayers. There may be many who
like Councillor Reg. Jewell feel that this
town is "recreation poor." They, may even
be unable to comprehend council's

It is becoming more ,end h rnore apparent

At time of writing we dolt't know what
agreement will be reached by the
shareholders of the Maitland Golf and

there seems to be good reason to assume
the Town of Goderich will not have'the.

and for that reason,' it may be that the
thought behind this editorial lacks punch
at this time.

Young Canada Week in Goderich is a
big event: Thi,s week, most businessmen 'in
town are noticing extra people on the
streets and in their stores and that's a
welcome treat at any time.
With the number of young hockey
players and their families and friends in
town right novo;. we have 'wondered why
some thought has note been given Jo
providing . some kind , of , special "
entertainment -for them.
Not everyone` stays at the arena all day
long. , Between games, we suppose that
visitors to ' Goderich are looking for i
something to do 'to fill the few hours free
to them until their next, contest. '
We would suggest' that the' town

enthusiasts should cajitalize on the'
