WINTER
• (By Wendie Thompson)
The trees are all laden with
white cooton-batten.
The snow lay untouched like a
blanket of satin. •
Snowballs -are whizzing skykigh
in the air.
Tobogganers and skaters are seen
everywhere.
Old ladies are sliding around and
around .
While the fleecy white snow
covers the ground.

This was a worthwhile
experience for me not so much
I believe the teachers were
gratified at the in;teres' shown
by parents. What's more' I know
teachers, parents ' and students
have a better understanding of
the whole situation and this
goodwill cannot be measured in
,hours' or dollars spent. At Victoria School. the
invitation to the parents, to sit' in
on the students' ' classes was
,accepted vyith relish by many,
many mothers and fathers. I
went over to Victoria School
Friday morning and sat in On a
lesson on the sound `,'w" as
opposed to the sound "wh."
There is a. difference, you know.
I notice that the mothers sat
enthralled as their youngsters
just,.ate °up the instructions given
by Mrs. Rose Fisher. It was great
