Word has it, the Broken M. Stable owned by C'harli'e -:lathers and
the boys, has had a busy winter. They have eight head in training,' six
of them are their own. Of course they have to be high on their three
year old `Mathers Imp.' This colt raced only four trips last year and
showed,a ,lot of pace. Ogdeiia Frost was timed in 2.08 last fall in
London and should get a healthier bankroll this year. Sabatone and a
two year old Parker Z. colt are also training well. All in all it should
be a good year for the Mather:
I watched Bruce Volland train his three year old Armbro Express
mare `Crimson Babe' Saetirday morning. She looks real good and
should be ready for the Spring meet in London. Bruce also has two
young ones in training.
A look in at Carl Fisher's Stable finds him busy with Brenda
Hope and Miss Dynamite. Both raced well for him last year and
should be .heard from. this year. Carl shares ownership with brother
'Grant who always makes it in from Berimiller come race night. Grant
holds the sprint"record from the barn to the winners circle. The local
geranium potter :thinks- he - could beat him but we all know
Denomme has had little chance to prove it.
