Part of the verandah at the Sunset Hotel has fallen away from the building and some_ residents'in
the area believe the building now to be safer and better looking than it was with it. At last 'week's
town council session, members were again `reminded that the owners of the Sunset have not yet,
reimbursed the town for boarding up the windows. The town clerk was instructed to look 'into the
matter once more. There arer.umors"in town that the building may soon- be purchased and
renovated for some useful purpose. However, none of these stories have been substantiated to date
and .the Sunset Hotel still stands desolate and unkempt at the end of Britannia Road. (staff photo)
