conking .to a close for Minor
Hockey in Goderich'and 1 must
admit this year was .a lot easier
writing up the game reports than
last' year. The coaches, managers
and conveners did advise me of
most of the games, but there was
still a few times when I had to
'phone to get the results of the.
games..
Dick Madge did an excellent
job as he always had his team
reports in and 'would
recommend to the new
executive that he,, be.• given the
opportunity ,, to write this

LEGION MITE ALL-STARS
The Goderich Mite All -Stars
racked up a pair of shut -out .
victories in action last week. •
Wednesday, playing at the
C.F.B. Clinton arena, they
defeated the Adastral Park Mite
All -Stars 370. Defenceman,J

played here, a the local Mites r
overpowered the Seaforth Mites,
winners of a recent Adastral
Park Mite Tournament, by a
score of 4-0. Ted Doherty
scpred' twice, with singles going
to Donald Elliott and Mike
Hodges. � - •

shutouts. . •
Next action for the Legion
Auxiliary Mites is tonight
(Thursday) when the Adastral

W•O.A.A. Semi-Playoffs,.-
Goderich Mite All -Stars and
Zurich played to a two -all tie in
Zurich Monday- evening. The
series being 3 out of 5, the next
two ` games will be played in
Goderich Friday and Sunday
afternoon starting 1:00.
All the scoring by both teams
were done in the third period as
Goderich opened with two quick.
goals, one by Paul Doherty and
the- other by Gary Peters, both
unassisted. Zurich came back to
tie the score 'late in .the third -
period. *. .

In a deciding game played
Monday " evening at 4:30
between Goderich Electric and
MacDonald - Marine - we had
Goderich'lectric come through
with a 5-0 victory to advance to
the semi-finals. Gregg Ferris got
a shutout for the winners.
Playing a- strong game for
Goderich Electric was Michael
Paquette as he scored two goals
and assisted on another two
goals. Other marksmen •were
John Alexander, Steve Sager and
Kirk Goddard.

game, Goderich were fortunate ' ,
enough to come through with a
5-4 . victory. Refereeing, -had a
.lot . to be desired, as they,, failed
to' keep the game,under^,control'
and it ended in a penalty filled
game in which both coaches feel
the'W.O.A.A. should have better
• qualified referees.
