We need to get back to being
interested in au'r neighbour,
we've been drifting -apart for
many years and 1 believe the
disasters and near disaster& of
this winter was meant to make
us see how much we need one
and other. ND man is an island
When you hear some of the
stories of the heroism and times
when SELF was , forgotten in
order to help so many
unfortunate people - it makes
you believe that deep down
people still want to be -friendly
and help their fellow man when
ever they can. And too.- a great
many:. people who- were too,
'darned independent to ask for
help were mighty glad of the
hospitality of strangers.
It is not hist -during stress or
trying times that a helping• -hand
should be extended. .1 heard
recently of an elderly couple
who are really feeling they are
cast ` off - forgotten -- all
because . they have found it has
been too difficult for them to
,This. young couple because
they themselves are dedicated
and enthusiastic have really done
wonders with our young people.
lt, will be a real pleasure and 2

which they hold their meetings,

has made sure there are plenty

well as the actors and actresses. -

Festival organizers are
looking hopefully to a complete
sellout of tickets and are urging
those who - still haven't
