By late afternoon, The word got around, No, snowplows in sight, We'd remainsafe and sound. Another night stranded, ., No mum and no dad, ' We have to remember 'Last night wasn't bad. Supper, Some games, a memory to Reep. Hot chocolate and cookies To -put -all to sleep.' ' A night uneventful, some -coughing to quell. If we get home tomorrow — won't that be swell: Morning again — no let up as yet. One bus came and went - they were happy you bet. Some chiklren.had left; less pupils toped, - Foodshares would be larger; a bright.spot indeed. .M,r,, Treble came twice, carrying much milk with him. Two cups each that day, full right to°,the brim. Next.morning we found the storm had subsided. Homeward bound we would be —if the School Board decided. Now beds witl be.,soft, Lights will creep in the door.
