(by -Kathy Weary) The Brownies' opened their meeting with the Fairy Ring. Then we had inspection; first, the Sixers- inspected their' ,Six' and then Brown Owl inspected all the Brownies. Then we collected Fairy Gold and camp fund money. We had Pow Wow to show the work -we had,done-•and.see tthings. from other countries..' Patti Grace showed us a lovely native doll- her ' rnother`.__brought her from the Barbados .and Tracy Nelson brought .dolls from-- France rom- France and Spain for us to see! Sonne of the Guides learned to do the sheet -bend knot. and also learned the 16 points of, the compass. Captain Ainslie .planned .a special ..c.arnp-fire with Canary Patrol Leader Alice Dougherty in charge. Swallow ' Patrol ., performed a skit. She is survived by two n, brothers, Brown, of Dungannon, ''and ' Robert, of Toronto; 'and predeceased by' two brothers, W. J. (Bill) Smyth, and A. 'B. Smyth, and one sister Sarah Ida (Smyth) Brigham.
