The minutes of the November session were read and adopted,. on motion of Cbuncillots Rutherford and McDonald. Engineer Doug Gamsby met • with council and two owners on the Rintoul drain' in regard to extra work done to improve part of the drainage works. Mr. Gamsby explained the extra work performed, the reduction in some costs and the increase in allowances for the two owners involved, ° so that ,the re -assessment or' the expense would be satisfactory to owners and council. The two owners were given until December 15, to prese)tt written approval of the reassessment to council. An agreement between Theodor Erber and the Department of Lands and Forests regarding the planting of 10 acres of trees on Mr. Erber's property was presented to council and signed on behalf of the township by the reeve and clerk. By-law No. 16, 1970 authorizing the planting of the trees was given third reading arid finally passed on motion of Councillors Aitchison and Foran. ` The roadaccounts were presented for payment" .and passed on motion of Councillors Foran and McDonald. Mr. Frank McQuillin requested permission of council to lower and repair the tops of two catch basins - one ori the McQuillin Drain and one *on the Murray Drain.. The minutes of the December 1 meeting were read and adopted on motion of Councillors McDonald and Foran. By -Law No. 17, 1970, was given third reading and finally passed on motion of Councillors Rutherford and Aitchison. This by-law names the Clerk as licensing officer for lottery licenses for the Township of West Wawanosh.
