Reed is head of the group who canvass this area. W.I. MEETING Forty Dungannon Women's Institt)te members and guests- hel`_ their annual —Christmas party Saturday evening in 4, Lucknow Parish Hall. After singing the W.I. Grace, - and prayer by Rev. Clarence McClenaghan, a bountiful banquet . was served by the Ladies' Guild of the Parish who were later thanked by Chester Finnigan. Following the banquet, Mrs. Graham McNee and her committee conducted the exchange of . gifts which all enjoyed. An invitation from Goderich W.I. to attend their 70th Anniversary on February `4, 1971 at 12:30 p.m, was read. Notify your secretary -treasurer, Mrs. Cecil Blake, before January 23rd if you plan to attend. Christmas greetings from Miss Flora Durnin, Tottenham, to y, W.I. members were read. Mrs. Gordon Finnigan was pianist for a period of carol singing followed by an hour of euchre games. High and low -winners were Audrey Hasty and Mary Bere; Jim Hayden and Tom Young. , : * Other interesting prizes were; Most buttons, Donna Hayden; most dimes, Wilmer Rutledge; longest earrings, Ruby Finnigan; bow tie, Chester Finnigan; lucky names ° draw, Jim Hayden, Flossie Ivers. An Institute sponsored card party was _ announced for Tuesday, December 29th at Dungannon L.O.L. Hall. The evening was brought to a close by singing The Queen. Sharon Young on her accordion played "Silent Night", "0 Holy Night" and "Away in a Manger", which were appreciated as wgere the numbers given by each class, Frank Pentland and Lorne Hasty participated along with Rev. C. McClenaghan in the Dedication Service of altar pieces in memory �of Arlene Culbert. A pulpit lamp and a Bible reading desk were the gifts given. • Later in the service a former' gift given in memory of Mrs. B. J.,,Crawford, a lovely Bible, was placed on the communion table reading desk. Nancy Errington sang, "The Lord's Prayer" at the conclusion of the Dedication service. ' PERSONAL ITEMS The young people. who have snowmobiles . or snow -jets are enjoying the recent snowfall. Miss .Patricia Eedy and Bob Ott of Listowel visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. `Irvine .,Eedy for the weekend. Monday, December 14 the Superintendents and Teachers of the Sunday School of the United Church and also parents, provided a Christmas meal for all the pupils.
