The talk in part has stemmed from the editorial of last week "A matter of business," in which I voiced an opinion of who seemed better suited for the job of mayor. Those opiniots have not changed, • but if people believe that because of those opinions I would be prepared to go into the next council and set out to oppose Mr. Worsell, they are in for a disappointment. For any member; of council, this one, the next one or any other, to set out to oppose one member of that council on principle is to deny the people of_ the municipality , the government they deserve and, hopefully, if they have enough interest, expect. Mr. Worsell was elected by a• majority of the electorate, an electorate that all members of council must serve, whatever their. personal feelings are about any of the members. It follows also that agreement may be hard to accomplish at times, but men are individuals and have individual reactions to certain stimuli. What the reactions may be remain to be seen. There are people also who believe that members of council known to be on friendly terms with me also will oppose Mr. Worsell, because of that friendship. I also know this too to be untrue. After -'eight years of sitting at council meetings week after week I have been able to acquire a c certain amount of knowledge of parliamentary procedure and municipal law. I hope to be able to put that knowledge to, use for • the betterment of the town. OPP safety hints Motorists! Have you had your car lights checked recently?
