One of the first projects
undertaken by the Goderich.
Kinette club was a fashion show.
.It--was_beld in the. auditorium -of -
the Goderich District Collegiate
Auditorium in the fall of 1948.
In flowing prose, the Signal
Star described the event as
follows:

and fashion delighted a more

The audience overflowed into
-the corridors and-scoof ladies
were unable to get in:
The stage was attractively
decorated with autumn leaves; a
runway was erected . running
through the centre of the hall.
Mrs. John Walls, as
commentator, cleverly described
the costumes modelled and
sustained interest throughout
the evening.
Mrs. D. J. , Patterson, in a
gracious speech, expressed
appreciation to the Goderich
merchants who had co-operated
so willingly with their
contributions.

In 1950, Goderich Kinettes
started. circulating a newsletter
amongst their members.
Under the editorship of
Muriel Skelton, the "Kinette
Corner" was printed every two
weeks. -
It provided news and. views of
Kinette activities and played an
important part in keeping club
members informed of current
and past projects.

CHILD CONFERENCES 4
The Goderich Kinette Club
- has completed arrangeYnents for
a series of child health
conferences to be held weekly'
starting January 25, in the
health unit of the town hall.
The conferences, sponsored
by the Kinette club is for infants
and pre-school children. They
will be in charge of Miss
Dorothy—Wick, -Reg. Nurse, of
the Huron County Health Unit.

CELEBRATE AT WINGHAM —
1951
The Goderich Kinette Club,
sponsors of the Wingham
Kinette Club, accepted an
invitation to Whigham to. help
the ' club celebrate its first
anniversary on Monday, ` -April
30th, in the Queen's hotel.
KINETTES HEAR JUDGE
TALK OF CITIZENSHIP
Judge T. M. Costello was
guest speaker at the regular
meeting of • Goderich Kinette
club in the British Exchange
hotel Monday evening.
Mrs. Frank Skelton presided
and Judge Costello was
introduced by Mrs. Bert Worsell
and thanked by Mrs. Charles
Bridgewater.
The Kinettes will sponsor a
new club in Exeter. Mrs. Skelton,
Mrs. D. J. Patterson, Mrs. H.
Hibbert and Mrs. W. J. McGrath
will attend the. first meeting
there.
Twenty-two members were
Present , and Ars,. Norman P_rigg
was welcomed as a new member.
Goderich is proud of their six
Kinettes who won 100 per cent
attendance pins for 1950-1951.
A fashion show is being
planned and a "Bonny Kay" doll
will be drawn for at the show.
