'Canadian Save The Children
Fund is seeking a campaign fund
goal of11,750,000.00 in 1971,
its 50th anniversary year.
In the Gaza Strip, the greatest
sjngle cause of death among
refugee infants is gastro-enteritis,
frequently combined with
malnutrition. During the long
dry summers, gastro-enteritis is
common throughout the Middle

sections of the community. The
refugees are particularly
vulnerable.

Centre at Khan Younis. In a
recent four-month period 228
babies received care at the
Centre. This consists of bed care,
where necessary, and out-patient
treatment where they receive
drugs to overcome infection and
a salt solution to restore body
fluid and chemical balance.

are advised on home treatment
and taught how to prevent

At Magdiel, IsraeCANSAVE
has contributed vocational
training equipment for use by
students at the Vocational
Training Centres. The school has
355 students, 370 in residence
and 85 day students. Twelve
high School classes are taught,
including a course in electronics.
Thousands of students have
graduated from the Centre. To
many, Magdiel bmS been a second
home and to some, the only
home they have. known.
