RINTOUL Exchange wedding vows Nile United Church, Nile, was decorated with candelabra and colonialflower arrangements for the recent wedding at which Margaret Helen McNee and Neil George Rintoul exchanged rings and vows. The bride is the daughter of the late,Mr! and Mrs. Charles W. McNee, West Wawanosh, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. Rintoul, RR 2, Lucknow. v, Rev. R. C. McCleneghan, of the Dungannon charge, officiated at the ceremony. Soloist was William G. Stiles, Goderich, who sang Oh Father Alli•Creating, The Wedding 4 Hymn and The Lord's Prayer accompanied by th'e organist, E. J. Stiles, Goderich. The bride's uncle, William H. Sproul of Mississauga, escorted the bride 'to the altar. She wore a gown of white cloud white delustered satin fashioned on Edwardian lines with a wide ring of alencon type lace at the thraafnd 'bodice. The bishop sleeves were caught at the wrists with bands of lace and the skirt was frosted with tiny lace motifs and ended in a lace edged cathedral train. She wore a simple coronet of lace daisies in her hair and carried a colonial bouquet of pompoms, carnations and roses in pink and lavender shades. Matron of honor was Mrs. James Hayden, RR 3 poderich. The bridesmaids" were Mrs. Larry Park. RR 6 God'e ch; Miss Gilda Sproul, MViississauga; and Miss Doris Rintoul, London. They were gowned alike in floor -length gowns of Spanish green chiffon styled with bishop sleeves. Bands of embroidered rose'and white lace at the bodices were threaded with green velvet ribbon: They wore matching lace and chiffon bandeaus in their hair and they carried colonial bouquets In pink and lavender shades. ' et Groomsman was Robert Struthers, Lucknow. Ushers were James Hayden, RRA » Goderich; William .Hayden, RR 6 Goderich; and Gary Rintoul, Whitechurch. The reception was held in the Nile United Church basement. The wedding guests were greeted by the bride's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Sproul, Mississauga, and — the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William. E. Rintoul, RR 2 Lucknow. Mrs. Sproul wore a mauve polyester satin dress, black patent accessories and a corsage of yellow roses. Mrs. Rintoul chose a gold fortrel dress with three-quarter length sleeves, black patent accessories and a bronze corsage. For a honeymoon to be spent in the Northeastern United ttl States, the bride changed to a pant suit of imported wool- in heather tones and a violet -colored blouse. The couple are residing on the .groom's farm at RR 2 Lucknow. Prior to her marriage, the bride was feted at several events. A shower was given by Miss Ruth McLean and Miss Helen Reburn in London; Nile United Church was the scene of a community shower; a shower was hosted by Mrs. Mack Cardiff atnd Mrs. Dave Oberholtzer at the Cardiff home in Brussels; a shower'was given by Mrs. Larry Park *ridtiVItt.. CAS organizes bureau for Christmas giving A Christmas Bureau has again been organized by the Children's Aid Society of Huron County. The Bureau has ,been an annual project bi' the Society for some years now in the hope of ensuring a happy Christmas to thosechildren and families in the County,who might otheirwise be forgotten in the way "of a Christmas dinner and gifts. The Bureau is maintaining .a central registry of families and children at the Society's Goderich office so, that donations and gifts can be effectively and . equitably distributed.' Already_many County church groups, service clubs, other organizations, and private individuals have made generous donations, of cash and gifts. In addition to cash donations, new wearing apparel, layettes, jewellery, toilet articles, games, flashlights, billfords, etc:, along with Christmas seals, ribbon, tags, wrapping paper, can all be put to good use for the gift boxes. Packing of boxes will be underway the first week of December; thus your donations and gifts should be into the office as soon as possible. Names of families in need of Christmas help should also ' be directed to the Society. Many referrals are already in, but they Society would welcome your assistance in making certain all will be helped. Referrals or ehquiries can be directedto the Society office. Huron -Perth- Board formed by (NIB. The inaugural .meeting of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind Advisory Boards of the Counties of Huron and Perth, was held on Wednesday, November 25, • at the Royal Hotel, Mitchell. . Prior . to this meeting each County had its own Board which made available the services of CNIB to the blind people in the area. The purpose of uniting the two groups of volunteer workers, is to increase efficiency and improve the service to the blind. A new Executive was elected as follows: Chairman, Mr. Harry Lear of Blyth — 1st Vice -Chairman, Mr. ^ E. M. Creighton, Listowel " — 2nd Vice -Chairman, Mrs. R. E. Young, Stratford — Secretary, Mr. Eric Luther of Hensall and Treasurer, Mr. Norman McIntyre, Goderich. Mr. Wes. Stanley, Administrator of District .Operations, CNIB Toronto, presentedthe new Board with their Constitution and congratulated the group and thanked them for their interest and help in making a fine contribution to the overall program of assistance to Canada's 26,00Q sightless people. Me. Stanley mentioned that the need for training- for blind persons is still vital in order for the blind to adjust to living in our sighted world. There are currently 81 blind people in the County of Huron and 58 ftrStratford-'ant- Perth. County, receiving service from CNIB. Mr. Leonard Boyce, Mr. Norman McIntyre, Mrs. Clayton Edward and Mr. J.
