BROWNIES
Pack One
The knitting needles were
busy again at our las meeting.
Most Brownies have now leatned
how—to get those stitches on and
wor1F. those needles the right
way. Once it's learned it's great
fun and hard to put away when
the time comes.
Our Tweenies are rrearly all
ready now to become real
Brownies on December 15th.
They have been working on
cardboard dolls to take home to
show that they have worked
hard airdleamed a lot of things.
During Pow Wow, there were
plans made for our Christmas
"Good Turn" and our meeting
ended with the squeeze. and.or
Prayer.

Brownies will appear in Santa's parade
Pack Two.
We enjoyed having . Mrs.
Goodwin (Susan's Mom) visit
and help us last week. Part of
our time was spent on the plans
for our part in the Santa Claus
Parade. Everyone seemed so
excited that we had a great
many questions that just had to
be answered !
The girls who have been
working with Mrs. Proctor on
their Art Appreciation badges
had, a little test on Friday. This
finishes all the reqUirements and
we'll . let you know who the
successful Brownies were when
we give out the badges in the
near future.
Thanks to the , kind and
thoughtful efforts of Mrs.
Proctor all the girls agree this
was one of the most interesting
and enjoyable badges they've
everworked on!
. The Pack was told that
Friday was Caroline Little's
birthday and we surprised her by
singing "Happy Birthday" as she
and the other girls came back to
Brownies from the(art room.
We really enjoyed singing this
week! With Mrs. Goodwin's help
we divided the group into two
sections and tried (successfully)
a couple of different "rounds"
as well as some:Christmas Carols.
Pack Three
There were only t*elve
Brownies at the Meeting last
Monday but that was due to the
storm plus the fact that the
children from Victoria School
had the "day off".
The Leaders took advantage
of the quiet, unhurried time to
prepare their Tweenies for the
enrolment coming up next week.
They went over the details of
the Fairy Ring, and- taught all
the necessary songs for
enrolment. °
The Brownies took a little
break and played a hula -hoop
relay game, had a sing song and
then Pow Wow. The Parade
details were discussed and the
gills were reminded • that each
Brownie is asked to. bring three
recipies from home to
contribute to a cook book that
the Guides and Brownies are
putting together.
