Explorers held their slightly -late
Hallowe'en party. There were 63.
children in attendance, three
leaders and two other ladies
"helped control things. -
To start the party, Jim. Kerr
won the chair prize. After this
many people bobbed for apples.
The first three people to get the
fruits were Sally Kerr, Margaret
Willis and Debbie Stothers.
When the children marched
around the church basement,
Mrs. J. Rutledge' and Mrs.
Laurence, the two 'helpers,
judged the costumes.
The five winners were Debbie
Stothers, Karen Stothers, Lisa
Whitely, Sharon Pollock and
Marilyn Sproul.
A game of Musical chairs was
played and lunch was served.

church projects.
The Nominating Committee

asked to have their' reports for
the December meeting.
Attendance pins will be,
presented to Sunday School
pupils.
A donation of $250.00 will be
sent to the Church Board.
United Church calendars are
to be sold by the Explorers
group of Dungannon Church.
The next meeting will be a
pot luck luncheon at 1 p.m. at
the church, December 10.
A social hour was enjoyed and
Mrs. Pearl Watson, Mrs. Russel
Brindley and Mrs. Hugh
McWhinney were hostesses.

A committee was named to
assist the finance committee in
making arrangements for the
chapters 70th anniversary in,
March.
A nominating committee was
appointed to arrange the state of
officers for coming year. They
• are Mrs. Neville, Mrs. Gibbons
and Mrs. Henderson.
Mrs. Murray and her assistants
served a cup of tea and lunch.
The flag was brought forward
by Mrs. Ruffle and a very
enjoyable afternoon brought to
a close.
