Everyone was in costume and prizes were given to Janet Steep for the Funniest; Diana Oke for the best dressed; and Wendy Thompson for the scariest. "On Saturday the girls held a car wash at the Five Points Gulf garage. They made $44.00 which is to be divided between the L. A. and the camp fund. The girls would like to thank all those who helped make the car wash a success. Most sincere thanks to Mr. Pope 'of the Five " Points. . . They did the Highland Fling; the Sword Dance, the Sailors' Hornpipe, the .Irish Jig and Some other dances too. THIRD GODERICH GUIDES This Company played ,host to all the other Guides and alot of the Brownies in town as well on Tuesday night recently: The special occasion was the exciting trip from Brownieland up to Guides which was made by twenty-four little girls. Before leaving the Brownie Ring, Brown Owl and Tawny Owl from Pack One presented Golden Hands to four of their girls. Lynda McIntyre and Susan Goodwin, both. from Pack Two were also proud to receive4,their Golden Hands. given to all the girls before they. left their Brownie days behind them and went on them '.way. They all received their wings, congratulations, or ,both from Mrs. McCreath, our Commissionb , before going through the gate.c.into the exciting world of 'Guides. The girls were then taken on a "tour" and as they went around the Horseshoe, heard about Some of the adventures they'll share as Guides, as well as skills they'll' learn.
