discussed, it was decided to have
either white or silver,
- For discussion period, Mrs.
Hayden' talked on First Aid and
Lexie McWhinney spoke about
the first aid kit. The notes were
on first aid.
Crafts ' were worked on in
groups.

County Board of Education
instructed director of education
John Cochrane t'o ,get an
up-to-date report from •Clinton
Town Police on the
investigations into the recent
bomb"threats in Clinton schools.
Gordon Moir, Wingham, said
he had had disturbing reports
and rumors concerning the
happenings' in Clinton. He
hesitated to elaborate on heresay
but urged the board to get some
kind of an official report on the
matter.
There.- werealso full reports
from the principals at Huron
Centennial School, Brucefield
and Central Huron Secondary -
School in Clinton about recent
thefts and vandalism.
It .was learned that between
$400 ` and $500 in damage was
found at Huron Centennial
Friday,, October 16 about 2:50
a.m. Ontario Provincial Police of
'the Goderich detachment were
highly commended for their
prompt discovery of the
break-in. '
At CHSS, $220.35was taken
from the school.
The board discussed the
matter fully and agreed that a
policy be established that no
more th p , ',$100 ,be, to
:overnight in elementary schools
and no more -than $200 in
secondary schools.
An impromptu report of the
findings of a Perth -Huron
committee to study religious
education in the schools was
given . by Chairman John Lavis
and vice-chairman Robert
Elliott. They reported there was
no decision concerning religious
education at the elementary.

that religious education should
be offered only as an option to
secondal"y school, students and
that teachers should be qualified,
to teach the course.

held their' sixth meeting at the
tome of Mrs. Frank Raithby and

Hickey, first vice-president.
The minutes were accepted as
read -by the secretary, Gail Seers.
"The roll call, a defect in my
posture and how to correct it,
was answered by all members.
Mrs: W. Bradnock led in the
discussion ' about keeping
physically fit by eating right and
good posture.
Arva Ball, Sheron Collins,
Connie Hickey and Gail Seers
demonstrated exercises and all
practised and completed posture
charts. ,
Mrs. F, Raithby continued
with the Swedish weaving. Arva
Ball closed the meeting with the
4 -II Creed.

--the message of Mr. L. B. Hill,
manager of the Victoria and
Grey Trust -Company, Goderich,
when he spoke at the October
meeting of the Auburn Women's
Institute. Mrs. Fordyce Clark
introduced the speaker and Mrs.
Thomas Hltggitt thanked him.
The meeting was in the charge
of the president, Mrs. Len
Archambault, who opened the
meeting by reading ;the poem,
Money Will Buy. •
The Mary Stewart Collect and
0 Canada with Mrs. Robert J.
Phillips at the, piano. The
minutes were accepted as read
by the secretary, Mrs. Donald
Haines. She also gave the
financial statement.. A report of
the. County Women's Institute
Rally held recently at Centralia
was given by the delegates, Mrs.
Ed. Davies and Mrs. Bert. Craig.
Mrs. Donald Cartwright was
appointed delegate to the
-London Area convention to be
held next month at -Stratford.
