Cathy Jewell gave the
treasurer's report and moved
that the bills be paid. The
minutes were adopted as read by
the secretary, Nancy Shaddick.
An invitation from the
Clinton club to attend a dinner
meeting with them in November
was read and 'accepted. Tickets
on a draw for $150 worth isf
clothes from The Fashion Shop
'were given out .to be sold by
each member.
A letter from the Huronview
Auxiliary was read asking for
help with their Christmas Fair. It
was decided - to have . a shower
and donate a number of small
gifts,
Donations this month were
sentto the St. John Ambulance
and to the -muscular dystrophy
campaign. Volunteers Were again
asked go..to. Goderich,
Psychiatric Hospital with the
Kinsmen. to play bingo .with the
patients.
Following roll call by Mary
Lou Melick and a draw won by
Florence Cummings,. a
demonstration of Sarah
Coventry jewelry was'held. The
'rneeting,ended with a lunch.
The next Kinette meeting will
be on November 2 at the
playground.

The . Colborne Ladies
Christmas Country Fair was
surely the busy place again this
year. It was an outstanding
success in every way and every
one is happy.
This kroup have a tiger by the
tail and some of them still don't
realize it.
With the hundreds of visitors
wandering thro' that nice old
Carlctw Hall, I still feel they
should spread their, show over
the'afternoons of Thursday and
'Friday and give everyone a
-chanceito see and buy the lovely
hand-crafted gifts.
Mrs. Evelyn' Hardy, who, with
a few other ladies, introduced
this TIGER to their area,
smilingly said ---- "Oh, sales -were- Interior -Rouge" and Kanderskys
BRISK!" "Improvisation".
So congratulations, ladies, This huge collection takes up

The ladies golf section of the
Maitland Country Club held its
fall dinner meeting on Monday,
October 19, with 24 ladies in
attendance.
The clubhouse was suitably
decorated with autumn flowers
and a homey atmosphere
prevailed with a crackling fire.in
the hearth. A delicious dinner
was served- by Mr. and Mrs.
Mantha„.,
At the meting following the
dinner the yearly reports from
the various chairmen -were heard
and approved. The spcirts
captain's report showed that an
average of 20 ladies golfed on
each ladies night.
The following slate of officers
was voted into office: president,
