St. Joseph's Roman Catholic, Church, Kingsbridge, was the
scene September 19 feir the dogble-ring ceremony at which
Sharon. Ann Courtney and Percy_ Edward McClenaghan became
man and wife. Rev. Henry Cassano officiated amid two baskets
of assorted autumn flowers.
Mr. and Mrs. .Leo dOurtney, RR 7, Lucknow, are the bride's
parents and Mr. and Mrs. Edward McClenaghan, Lucknow, are
the parents Of the groom.
Organist was Denise Dattoh and accompanied Eugene
Frayne who sang Ave Maria and Because and Ray Dalton who
rendered 0 Promise Me and To Jesus Heart All Burning. The
two soloists also joined fn a`duet, Panis Angelicus.1-
The bride wore a brocaded Rose of . Sharon satin gown
styled with an empire waist, bell sleeves and a chapel train. Her
• elbow -length veil of tulle wa.s,caught Up.with a headpiece of
white roses and lily of the valley and she, carried a bouquet Rt
pink roses and white stephanotis.
Maid .of honor was the bride's sister-, Helen Courtney,
'Kitchener. She wore , a purple polyester crepe dress with
natural waistline and a long; gathered skirt. The long sleeves
were gathered at the wide cuff and the bodice 'Was accented
with a stand-up collar and small covered -buttons down the
front. She wore -la ,mauve picture hat trimmed with purple
ribbon and carried a single yellow long stemmed rose. .
The bridesmaid, Ursula Courtney, sister of the bride,
Lucknow, wore a .mauve polyester crepe dress styled
identically to the dress worn by the maid of honor. She wore a
mauve picture hat trimmed with mauve bbon and parried a
single yellow, long stemmed rose.
Edward Brown, Lucknow, was his friends best man.
Desmond and Michael tottitney, brothers of the bride,
ushered guests.
The wedding reception washeld at $altford Valley Hall. The
bride's mother 'wore a powder blue coat and dress ensemble of
silk worsted featuring bead trim on the turn -down collar, navy
and white accessories and a corsage of phik roses. The groom's
mother chose a medium blue lace coat and dress ensemble,
silver accessories and a corsage of pink roses.
For travelling to Northern Ontario, the bride changed to a
printed blue crimplene dress, black patent shoes,and bag and a
'corsage of yellow carnations.
The newlyweds are residing at 148 Roxborough Ave., Apt.
3, Kitchener. The groom is employed at the I.G.A. food
market in Harriston as manager of the 'Meat department and
the bride is on staff at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener,
where she was a recent graduate.
Guests were present at the wedding from Detroit,
Kitchener, Hamilton, Lucknow, Goderich, London, Wingham,
Toronto and Thorndale.

Schmidt, Vancouver, wore a floor -length gown of white crepe, .
empire waisted with long full sleeves, trimmed with white seed
pearls,. Her scalloped shoulder -length veil fell from a tiara or
pearls. She carried one long stemmed red rose.
Matron of honor was Mrs: Gail Schmidt,. Sister of the bride,
andbridesmaid was Miss Susan Foster, sister of the groom.
They were attired alike in flowing pant dresses of patterned
pink and mauve chiffon. They carried mauve and pink asters.
1stman was William Thompson, VancouVer, and the usher .
was Joe Donkervoort, Surrey.
After the wedding .ceremony, a reception was held at the
groom's home. The couple _will reside at 3532 West, 36th
. Avenue, Vancouver 13, B.C. .
