' The GDCI Senior Soccer team •
won their .third straight game in
(Huron -Perth play last Tuesday
when they, beat St, Marys 540,
and then made it four in a row
shutting out Stratford Central
1-0 on Thursday. Both. games
were away from home victories
for the Goderich side.
In Si, l�iaiys,� the teams "
appeared to be evenly matched
for the first 20 minutes, but •
"Goderich began to dominate the
play in the second half. Rugged,
play by the Goderich side
defensively was a marked feature
of the contest.
Brian . Schmidt, Nick Sager,
Gene de long, Dave Graf and
Richard Fisher scored for
Goderich.
The garhe in Stratford was the
hardest fought of the season for
the GM crew, ` with the
outcome in doubt right 'ill the
end, Both teams played hard
throughout,

losses when they completed the
afternoon's play in Stratford by
winning 4-2.

Honour students start
trip to Montreal tod�y.

The Honour Student's leave
- today (Thurs.) for Montreal for
a two day holiday. The Students
that go have tohave had a 75
per cent average last June. o '
Their events for today are to
arrive° in. Montreal and then
travel to the .Laurentian Hotel
where they will be staying.
Qn *October 16 they will start
the day by going on a two hour
4 tour of Montreal. Then will visit
the Dow Planetarium for a
presentation which will last
about one and a half hours.
From there they have a • special
tour which will take them to the
I'nternational Broadcasting
centre which is on the Expo
groun,ds. Then they wilt have a
guided- tour of T.V. and Radio
studios ,which will take until
about • 3- p.m. After this they,
have the rest of tile—clay off.'”
On October 1T they will have
the morning for exploring Place
Ville Marie and old Montreal.. In
the afternoon they will have a
guided. tour of "Place Des Arts."
After this tour is finished they
have the rest of the day off until
7 p.m. Then they - travel by
subwayto see the' N.H.L. game
Montreal vs. Chicago.

On October 18. they will leave
the Laurentian' Hotel and get on
the train and arrive in Stratford
about 10:17 a.m.
The 68 students will be
accompanied by Mr. and Mrs.
Howe and Mr. and Mrs. B.
Machan.

on passing and running plays.
In their three' games' so far,
the Vikings have not been scored
on and have scored a total of
