Having -observed the
helplessness of multitudes facing
starvation, Miss Hunter presents
.the challenge of the church in
India to 'elate Christian
teachings to a •nation in dire,
poverty. She feels that training
young people is esse,,tial. "They
must relate ` Biblical. truths to
practical ways of improving the
spiritual, social, and economic
welfare of their own people.":
Miss Hunter has recently
arrived in the United States after
spending nearly' eight years in •
India. She plans to return to
India after completing - her
speaking itiner ary in the United
States and Canada.
The OMS is. an
ilnterdenominational faith
mission with work encircling the
globe. It specializes in direct
evangelism through the training
of a national ministry, the
establishing of a self-governing
and self-supporting national
church, and evangelistic 'work as
accomplished through gospel
distribution- prograrns �It, iIas .M.
distributed over twenty-five
million gospels, home by home
since its beginning in 1901. The
OMS works co-operatively with

Obituary
George Herbert Huffman,
134 Widder :Street, died • at
Almonte General Hospital,
AlMonte, Ont. on Monday,
September 21. He was 62.
Mr. Huffman was born in
Grey Township on December
31, 1907 a son iinf -John Henry
Huffman and the former Mary,
-Ida-Willianagnli.....He_moved to
Goderich in 1911 and was
• employed rbf- Canadian Pacific
He married the foriner
Catherine MacKenzie in -Clinton
on September 8, 1956. She
predeceased him on April 16,
1970.
Surviving is • one stepson,
Ronald E. Davis of South Marsh
and one granddaughter, Nancy
Davis of South -M4rsh.
Mr. Huffman was a member
of the Pentacostal Chureh,
Goderich.
The funeral servite wig' held
at Stiles Funeral Horne at 2 -p.m.
