Bruce Penny of Wingham Baptist Church at the wedding of his daughter, Ellen ,Gail Knight and his son-in-law, Robert LeRoy Everett, both of London. , The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clyde E. Everett,,138 North St., Goderich. The bride's parents reside at RR 4, • Goderich. The double -ring ceremony was performed amid standards of mauve and purple gladioli and white mums with -candelabra, , the Brible and a lighted cross ' in the Abackground in .Calvary Ba ° tist. Church September, . Organist was Miss Patsy' Peterson; fort -Huron, Michigan. Soloists were Mrs..Dorothy Scotland, London, and -Bill Perry, Port Huron: The ",bride wore;, a floor -len : 1 gown of peau de soie fashioned with guipure, lace trimmi'•the mandarin collar and forming two . panels down -the --front -of -the- bodiee. •Covered buttons gave the bodice an -empire -look. The Aline skirt.;was also trimmed with guipure lace. Her mantilla veil -with juliette headdress swept to a chapel length. She carried a cascade of yellow glory roses and white carnations. Mrs. Yvonne Mathers, Warren, Michigan, was matron of - Donor in-a--mauvecrimplene gown of A -line -styling with imported ._Belgian lace, trimming . the' mandarin collar and empire waistline. She wore white elbow -length gloves and white peau de sole shoes, mauve flowers in her hair and she carried a colonial cascade of yellow and mauve baby mums. Bridesmaids Miss Joan Everett and Miss Karen Knight, both of Goderich, and Miss,_Ueborah Reid, Sarnia, were similarly •gowned but .wore purple flowers in. their haireand carried colonial cascades of yellow and purple mums. John Everett, brother of the groom, Toronto, was best man. Ushers were Kevin Knight, Birmingham, Michigan; James Everett, Toronto; and Joseph MacDonald, Goderich. The wedding reception .was held. at the ,Maitland -Country., Clubs- Goderich. The bride's mother wore a dawn rose silk peau de soie dress and coat ensemble trimmed with rose ..imported French lace, a• hat trimmed in various shades of rose, shoes, bag and' accessories in silver and a corsage of pink. carnations. The groom's mother wore an -autumn gold bonded crepe dress and coat ensemble with imported Italian lace knit' sleeves, matching autumn gold shoes, bag and'hat and a corsage of yellow carna,ions. Master of ceremonies was the brides uncle, Raymond `knight, Toronto. Guests were present from San Francisco, California; ,Ohio; Michigan; Barrie, Toronto and London. A. telegram was received. from a friend stationed with the United States army in Germany.. ° • A -reception followed" at the bride's home 8aturday evening and all day Sunday. • The couple travelled to Niagara Falls, New York, NY and Colfax, Iowa, on their honeymoon. The bride's going -away outfit was a powder blue imported French bonded crepe dress and coat ensemble, silver shoes and bag and a white orchid corsage. They are residing at 565 Talbot St., London. Prior to her marriage, the bride was feted by the ladies of Calvary Baptist Church and the Westfield Fellowship Hour at a shower in the church. The staff at the Metropolitan• Store in London and the office staff at the Holiday Inns in London alsoentertained the bridal couple. They wore persimmon silk linen full-length skirts with ' matching silk blouses and carried cascades of yellow and orange mums. Groomsman was Norman Thibodeau, Welland: Ushers -were Dwight Shwery, Windsor; Harry Sawchuk, Fonthill; and Glenn Carr, Windsor. Yellow and orange mums centred the tables at the wedding reception in Saltford Valley .Hall. Guests were received by the bride's mother in a navy sheath, white accessories and a corsage of red roses. The groom's mother -assisted -her in a white and mauve silk dress and a corsage of pink roses. Before leaving with her husband on their honeymoon trip, the bride changed to a matching apricot dress and coat, tan accessories and a"corsage of yellow roses. The newlyweds are residing in Windsor. • Prior to her, marriage, the bride was entertained at showers given by Mrs. Audrey Henderson in Windsor and Mrs. James.
