drainage loans were presented to
council and accepted on motion
• of Councillors Rutherford and
McDonald. 'Applications were
from Donald Hackett, Walter
Elliott, Mike. Foran and Neil
Rintoul. y.
By -Law. No., 8, 197Q,,, was
given third reading and finally
passed on motion of Councillors
McDonald and Rutherford. This
by-law sets a special rate on Lots
21, Concession 3 to cover a tile
drainage loan.
By -Law No. 9, 1970, levying

was given third reading and

SPECIAL MEETING
A special meeting of • ' West
WawanAsh 'Vownship -Council
was called. for September 17 and
took place at the home of the
•clerk.
The clerk reported to Council
the results of a confethnce with
two Department of Municipal
Affairs financial advisers; held
on Monday, September 14. The
advisers instructed the clerk In
the proper Way to apply •the. pelt
capita grant to benefit the
residential and, farm property
owners. They . also advisedthat
separate ; millrates are still
needed "for the different school,,
setons formerly supported by
West Wawanosh rate payers, to
assure proper credit or debit of
over levies and under levies
outlined by the Board of
Education: tis' a result a new
budget was prepared and ' the
various mill rates set up.
