Hogan, RR 3, Lucknow.
The church was decoirated
with two baskets of pink gladioli
and mauve mums pladed on the
altar. The pews. woe adorned
with white satin ribbon, lily of
the valley and pink and purple
violets.
The organist was -Miss Denise"'
Dalton. Soloist was " Eugene
Frayne who sang Ave Maria, On
This Day and The :Impossible
Dream.*
The altar boys and priests led
the wedding party including the
,parentsof the bride and groom
• into the church. The bride wore
a dress of antron organza
adorned with guipure lace on the
bodice and down the front of
the dress, the sleeves and the
back to the hem. It featured a'

a sleeveless floor -length gown on
princess lines of mauve antron
organza. It featured an
embroidered white lace overskirt'
trimmed with a purple ribbon
tied in a bow at the waist and.
cascading into streamers.
Matching purple ribbon adorned
her hair and she carried a single
white glamelia tinted mauve
With purple streamers.
Bridesmaids Miss Rosemary
Hogan, sister of the groom,
-Woodstock; Miss Sharon
Courtney, Kitchener; an'd Mrs.
Frank Riegling, sister-in-law of
• the bride, RR 7, Lucknow, were'
gowned identically to -the maid
of honor: .
Flowergirl was Miss Susan
• Padbury, cousin' of the bride,
Welland. She wore a floor -length
cotton eyelet dress adorned with
mauve ribbon at the back.*She
carried a white basket of purple
and pink violets.
Ringbearer was • Master
Robert Collinson, cousin of the
groom,-Goderich.-
Ronald Hogan, brother of the
groom, RR 3, Lucknow, was
best man. Ushers were Jim

both brothers of the bride, RR

The wedding reception was
held at the Saltford Valley. Hall

. Quebec Street, Goderich.
Prior to her wedding, the
bade was feted at several
showers in her honor. Relatives
of the bride were entertained by
Mrs. -Paul Giroux and Mrs. Bruce
.Padbury at the former's home
near Chatham. A corn`rnunity
shower was held at Kingsbridge
and some girlfriends of the bride
met at the home of Sharon
Courtney. The staff : of St.
Mary's School in Goderich
presented the bride with a gift.
The bride's mother was

The groom is employed at the
Salt mines, Goderich, 'and the
bride at St. Mary's School,
Goderich.

Chantilly lace flowers and pearls.
She carried . a ' cascade of
sweetheart roses and.
stephanotis.
Bridesmaid was Miss Wendy
Bird gowned in peach cashmere
with short puffy sleeves and
empire waistline. Her headpiece
was of matching roses and she
carried • a cascade of white
miniature carnations and
stephanotis.
Groomsman was Brian
Siddall. Ushers were James
Angus brother of the bride, and
George Low.
Following the candlelight
ceremony a reception was held
in the church.
The bride's mother received
her guests 'wearing a muted
ice-cream crepe gown with gold
accessories. She wore a corsage
of orange tea roses.
She was• assisted' by .the`
,groom's mother who wore . a
floor -length gown ' of

For" travelling the bride -chose
a moss green knit ensemble with

Wendy Bird.
The couple will reside in
Clinton following a honeymoon
to southern parts of- United
States.

Taman, R.R. 6 Goderich.
celebrated their golden wedding
anniversary Saturday_at a family
dinner party and evening
reception for friends.
The couple were married 50
years „ ago in the Presbyterian
Church manse in Goderich by
the ministet, Rev. McDermitt.

Following their wedding,
they went to live 'on 'Newgate
Street in -Goderich where they
resided for about seven years.
They lived, on Regent Street for
16 years before moving to a
farm north of Sheppardton
where they lived- 'for 17 years
before moving to their present
address:
Mr. Taman is a First. World
War veteran and went overseas
with the 161st Battalidn. He
transferred to `the 47th
Battalion, fourth division, and
Spent .,14 months at the front in
France during three years and
foiir months overseas:
was employed With the C�P and a
later with • the `salt mine
operations in Goderich.

Branch 109 of the Canadian
Legion, Godekich, and his wife
a member of the Legion Ladies
Auxiliary.
They ` are both members of
Victoria Street United Church.
The couple has three children
including two daughters, Mrs.
Gerald (Pamela) Emms, Norlh
Bay and Mrs. Bryan (Dolores)
Speigelberg, Landon; and one
son, Billy, Bayfield. T
six grandchildren. •
Mr. Taman said the weather
August 22, 1920, was waren and
